On 15 December 2009, Israeli occupying forces arrested Jamal Juma', one of the leaders of the Popular Campaign against the Wall and Settlements, anda member of the Palestinian National Committee for the Register of Damage caused by the Illegal Wall, at the Qalandiya checkpoint, north of Occupied East Jerusalem.
In the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Palestinian civilians protesting the Israeli occupation were immediately fired at with tear gas, sound bombs, noxious sprays andrubber bullets as they approached the military checkpoint erected by the occupying Power in the Qalandiya area between Ramallah and Jerusalem.
