The secretariat was requested to submit the proposal to WP.29 andAC.1 for consideration and vote at their November 2010 sessions as a new draft Regulation on pedestrian safety.
In addition, these contents are already proposed in the draft Regulation on pedestrian safety ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2010/127.
With regard to the draft Regulation on pedestrian safety, to be annexed to the 1958 Agreement, the Chairperson of GRSP stated that GRSP had agreed to seek WP.29 guidance in defining the introductory provisions of the new Regulation. .

GRSP agreed to seek the consent of WP.29 and AC.3 to mandate a new IWG to solve the pending issues for incorporating the Flex-PLI in Phase 2 of the gtr No. 9 andin the draft UN Regulation on pedestrian safety in the same time.

The text reproduced below was adopted by the Working Party on General Safety Provisions(GRSG) at its 102nd session proposing to insert into the Regulation 61 an exemption from thegeometric provisions for bumpers, when the vehicle comply with the performance requirements specified in the draft Regulation on pedestrian safety.
The expert fromFrance presented GRSG-101-24 and GRSG-101-25 proposing to align the provisions of Regulations Nos. 26 and 61 with those of the new draft Regulation on Pedestrian Safety ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2010/127 and ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2011/51.

Amendment of the 1968 Convention on Road Traffic(instructions for behaviour of pedestrians) focusing on improving pedestrian safety, amending the Convention on Signs and Signals concerning behaviour at pedestrian crossings,adopted regulation on pedestrian safety in 2008, made special reference to walking through THE PEP, and amending the consolidated resolution RE.1.
It was finally agreed that the main objective of the group should be the amendment of gtr No. 9 through the work of the group shall not be limited to this task, butshall cover the development of a complementary draft proposal on amending the draft Regulation on pedestrian safety.
