Beginning in 1997, the Division has taken measures to make the comprehensive annual report on oceans and the law of the sea and the fisheries-related report mandated by the relevant resolutions of the General Assembly available at least a few weeks before the Assembly meetings on the related agenda item, which was not the case previously.
