In connection with item 6:Mr. A. García Revilla, Chairman-Rapporteur of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on the Right to Development;
The Group commended the work done by the Permanent Mission of Peru in Vienna,in particular the Permanent Representative Mr. García Revilla, in facilitating the production of the Lima Declaration.
Mr. García Revilla(Peru), speaking as Chair of the informal consultations, said that seven draft decisions(IDB.37/L.2-L.8) had been agreed on in the informal consultations.
In his capacity as President of the Board, H.E. Mr. Antonio García Revilla(Peru) conducted informal consultations on the Lima Declaration on 26 September, 3, 10 and.
Mr. Revilla(Peru), speaking on behalf of the Group of 77 and China, introduced the following draft resolution, entitled"Activities in the field of industrial policy with a view to promoting social inclusion.

Mr. García Revilla(Peru) said that Peru supported the work of the Director-General and his efforts to establish a multidisciplinary and integrated approach for UNIDO projects and to modernize the management of the Organization.

The Group thanked Mr. García Revilla, the Permanent Representative of Peru to the International Organizations in Vienna, for the leadership and skill he had shown during the negotiations that had produced the Lima Declaration.
He congratulated the Permanent Representative of Peru to the International Organizations in Vienna, Mr. García Revilla, on his leadership which had led to the successful conclusion of the negotiations leading up to the Lima Declaration.
Mr. García Revilla(Peru) introduced a draft resolution entitled"UNIDO and the post-2015 United Nations development agenda negotiations", sponsored by Belarus, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Kazakhstan, Mexico and Peru.
He had also received the following nominations: Mr. Yerzhan Kazykhanov(Kazakhstan),Mr. Javier García Revilla(Peru) and Ms. Anna Leśnodorska(Poland) for the posts of Vice-President, and Mr. Muhamed Bukheet(Sudan) for the post of Rapporteur.
Mr. García Revilla(Peru)(spoke in Spanish): Peru particularly welcomes the initiative to hold this high-level debate of the General Assembly to consider together United Nations activities in relation to climate change.
The Board decided to set up informal in-session consultations with the aim of facilitating thedrafting of decisions and entrusted Vice-President H.E. Mr. A. García Revilla(Peru) to chair those consultations see IDB.37/SR.2, paras. 6 and 7.
At the request of members of Congress Ana Elena Townsend Diez Canseco and Anselmo Revilla Jurado, the Prefecture of Lima had dealt with a request for safeguards on behalf of journalists Angel Alfredo Páez Salcedo and Edmundo Cruz Vílchez.
Mr. García Revilla(Peru), speaking on behalf of the Group of 77 and China, said that inclusive and sustainable development should take into account a country's level of economic, social and environmental development and its individual priorities.
At the 14th meeting, on 24 March 1998, the Chairman-Rapporteur of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on the Right to Development, Mr. Antonio García Revilla, introduced the report of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on its second session E/CN.4/1998/29.
Mr. García Revilla(Peru) said that consensus had been reached in informal consultations on the text of the draft resolution entitled"UNIDO and the post-2015 United Nations development agenda negotiations" which he had introduced at the Committee's first meeting.
She also expressed appreciation to Minister for Foreign Affairs Ms. Rivas Franchini and her team for their unconditional support and readiness to assist-- and particularly to Mr. García Revilla, Ambassador of Peru in Vienna, who not only had helped to bring UNIDO to Peru but also had assisted with preparations over the course of more than a year.
Mr. García Revilla(Peru) said that the outcome of the informal working group on the future, including programmes and resources, of UNIDO was not in the same category as the Lima Declaration, a ministerial document with strong political content, which would be a landmark for the future of UNIDO.
The Intergovernmental Group of Experts on the Right to Development at its second session consisted of the following 10 experts: Mr. Gudmundur Alfredsson(Iceland), Mr. Krzysztof Drzewicki(Poland), Ms. Margarita Escobar López(El Salvador),Mr. Antonio García Revilla(Peru), Mr. Martin Khor Kok Peng(Malaysia), Ms. Thérèse Pujolle(France), Mr. Shaheed Rajie(South Africa), Mr. Vladlen Stefanov(Bulgaria), Mr. Cheikh Tidiane Thiam(Senegal), Mr. Bozorgmehr Ziaran Islamic Republic of Iran.
At the informal pre-session consultation chaired by the First Vice-Chair, Antonio García Revilla(Peru), held on 9 March 2012, the Commission conducted a preliminary review of draft resolutions that had been submitted in advance of the session and dealt with organizational matters of the fifty-fifth session.
