The ILO Convention No. 169 on indigenous rights posits the aim that“history textbooks and other educational materials provide a fair, accurate and informative portrayal” of indigenous peoples. Convention No. 169 Concerning Indigenous and Tribal Peoples in Independent Countries, Article 31.
