In order to keep Member States informed and to achieve a better understanding of the specificities and complementarities of their activities, the three Committees publish regular updates of a comparative table that highlights the main aspects of their respective mandates andareas of competence and those of their expert groups.
The creation of mechanisms and subsidiary bodies, such as the Counter-Terrorism Implementation Task Force, the 1373(2001) Committee and its executive directorate, the 1267(1999) and the 1540(2004)Committees and their expert groups, has helped States in undertaking measures to counter terrorism and has promoted international cooperation in the prevention and suppression of terrorism.
The Team recommends that as the issue of technical assistance is of common interest to all three Committees, the three expert groups should develop, for the consideration of their respective Committees, another common strategy that sets out a more comprehensive andcoordinated approach to technical assistance by both the Committees and their expert groups.
The Chairs of the three subsidiary bodies made a joint statement updating the Council on the continuing cooperation among them and their expert groups as requested by the Council in its resolutions.

The Security Council is urged to ensure that systematic communication is established between its Working Group on Children and Armed Conflict andthe relevant sanctions Committees and their expert groups in country situations of common concern.
The briefing was intended to increase awareness among United Nations Member States of the measures imposed by the Council, the related recommendations and guidance developed by the Task Force andthe assistance that the Council sanctions committees and their experts groups, as well as the Task Force, can provide to Member States.
