At its twenty-sixth session, in December 2009, the IMO Assembly adopted the Code for the Construction and Equipment of Mobile Offshore Drilling Units, 2009.
A representative of the Convention secretariat presented the conclusions of the Executive Body from its twenty-sixth session in December 2008 as well as those of its Bureau.

The results of integrated monitoring are presented in this report in accordance with the Convention's 2009 workplan(ECE/EB. AIR/96/Add.2, item 3.6(c))approved by the Executive Body at its twenty-sixth session in December 2008.
Regarding the amendments to the articles 14 and 16, which the Parties to the Protocol had already adopted at the Executive Body's twenty-sixth session in December 2008, the ad hoc group of legal experts noted that these two articles would need further amendments to reflect the discussions on options for revising the Protocol at the Working Group's forty-fifth session. .
The secretariat introduced a working document on options for revising the Protocol on POPs(ECE/EB. AIR/WG.5/2009/1),which it had prepared in consultation with the Chair following a request made by the Executive Body at its twenty-sixth session in December 2008.

However, as the Executive Body had not been invited to assign Parties for the 2009 review at its twenty-sixth session, in December 2008 the Bureau of the Steering Body had concluded that its Chair would consult the Executive Body Chair and Bureau for the Parties to be reviewed in 2009 on the basis of the recommendations to be issued by CEIP.
This report describes the results of the third meeting of the Task Force on Reactive Nitrogen, held on 24- 25 November 2009 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in accordance with item 1.9 of the 2009 work plan for the implementation of the Convention(ECE/EB.
