Саулъ, Іонаѳанъ, сынъ его, и народъ, находившійся при нихъ, были въ Гивѣ Веніаминовой; а Филистимляне стояли станомъ въ Михмасѣ.
And Saul, with Jonathan his son and the people who were with them, was waiting in Geba in the land of Benjamin: but the tents of the Philistines were in Michmash.

И объявилъ Саулъ всему народу походъ на войну въ Кеилу, чтобы окружить Давида и людей его.
And Saul summoned all the people to war, to go down to Keilah, to besiege David and his men.

Саулъ сказалъ: когда я увидѣлъ, что народъ сталъ расходиться отъ меня, и ты не пришелъ въ назначенное время, а Филистимляне собрались въ Михмасѣ.
And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were going away from me, and you had not come at the time which had been fixed, and the Philistines had come together at Michmash;

И сказалъ Саулъ рабамъ своимъ: поищите мнѣ человѣка, хорошо играющаго на гусляхъ, и приведите ко мнѣ.
And Saul said unto his servants:"Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me.".

И сказалъ Саулъ Самуилу: согрѣшилъ я, преступилъ повелѣніе Господне и твои слова, потому что я боялся народа и послушался гласа ихъ.
And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned; for I have transgressed the commandment of Jehovah, and thy words, because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

И сказалъ Саулъ: согрѣшилъ я, но почти меня предъ старѣйшинами народа моего и предъ Израилемъ: возвратись со мною, и я поклонюсь Господу Богу твоему.
Then he said, I have sinned: yet honor me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me, that I may worship Jehovah thy God.

Господь помазывает Саула в правителя наследия Своего.
Lord has anointed Saul to be captain over his inheritance.
