Corneal erosion, serious*.
Includes cases reported within the clustered terms: Keratitis, punctate keratitis, corneal erosion, corneal epithelium defect.
Corneal erosion(mild or moderate).
The eyes deserve special attention in these dogs, since representatives of this breed suffer from corneal erosion- a chronic disease of an innate nature.
Corneal erosion is extremely painful.
The most common or most important reactions in the pooled studies were abnormal sensation in eye(0.5%), corneal erosion(mild or moderate)(0.4%), eye pruritus(0.4%), eye pain(0.3%) and eye redness(0.3%).
Uncommon Corneal erosion, reversible and sometimes in association with aberrant eyelash growth.
Continued use of topical NSAIDs, including bromfenac may result in epithelial breakdown, corneal thinning, corneal erosion, corneal ulceration or corneal perforation.
Corneal erosion caused by the ingress of a foreign object on the eye cornea;
Changes in taste- Eye: eye problems, increased or decreased tearing discomfort, vision problems, serious illness with blistering of the eyes, wearing away of the surface“skin” of the eye(corneal erosion).
Corneal erosion, reversible and sometimes in association with aberrant eyelash growth Keratitis(0.12%).
In some susceptible patients, continued use of topical NSAIDs may result in epithelial breakdown, corneal thinning, corneal erosion, corneal ulceration or corneal perforation.
Corneal erosion, meibomianitis, conjunctival haemorrhage, eyelid margin crusting, trichiasis, distichiasis.
Second degree- a concussion as a result of which there are deep corneal erosion, narrowing of vision, local cataract(clouding of the eye lens), hemorrhage, lacerations of the sphincter of the pupil and others.
In susceptible patients, continued use of topical NSAIDs, including bromfenac may result in epithelial breakdown, corneal thinning, corneal erosion, corneal ulceration or corneal perforation.
These comprised 3(0.3%)patients with mild corneal erosion, 2(0.2%) patients with eyelid oedema and 1(0.1%) patient each with abnormal sensation in eye, corneal oedema, or eye pruritus.
In some susceptible patients, continued use of topical NSAIDs may result in epithelial breakdown, corneal thinning, corneal erosion, corneal ulceration or corneal perforation(see section 4.8).
Effects in the eye: corneal erosion(damage to the front layer of the eyeball), Eye surface inflammation with surface damage, inflammation inside the eye, corneal staining, abnormal sensation in the eyes, eye discharge, dry eye, tired eyes, itchy eye, eye redness, eyelid redness.
Effects in the eye: inflammation of the eyelid, inflammation in the cornea, detachment of the layer below the retina that contains blood vessels following filtration surgery which may cause visual disturbances, decreased corneal sensitivity, corneal erosion(damage to the front layer of the eyeball), double vision, changes in the colour of the iris.
Common(≥ 1/ 100 to< 1/ 10):superficial punctuate keratitis, corneal erosion, burning sensation, eye pruritus, stinging sensation in the eye, foreign body sensation, eye dryness, eyelid erythema, eye pain, photophobia, eye discharge, visual disturbance, eyelid pruritus.
Uncommon corneal erosion, uveitis, iritis, anterior chamber inflammation, keratitis, punctate keratitis, photophobia, eye discharge, blepharitis, erythema of eyelid, periorbital oedema, eyelids pruritus, visual acuity reduced, vision blurred, lacrimation increased, conjunctivitis, ectropion, cataract, eyelid margin crusting, growth of eyelashes.
Common(≥ 1/ 100 to< 1/ 10): allergic conjunctivitis, asthenopia, blepharitis, cataract, conjunctival oedema, corneal erosion, eye discharge, eyelash darkening, eye pain, foreign body sensation, increased iris pigmentation, ocular burning, ocular dryness, ocular irritation, photophobia, superficial punctate keratitis, tearing, visual disturbance and worsening of visual acuity.
Uncommon corneal erosion, corneal epithelium defect, corneal epithelium disorder, punctate keratitis, keratitis, corneal staining, eye discharge, photophobia, vision blurred, visual acuity reduced, blepharospasm, ocular discomfort, eye pruritus, conjunctival follicles, conjunctival disorder, foreign body sensation in eyes, lacrimation increased, erythema of eyelid, eyelid oedema, eyelid disorder, ocular hyperaemia.
Uncommon: insomnia Common: dysgeusia Common: blurred vision, eye pain, eye irritation, foreign body sensation in eyes Uncommon: corneal erosion, punctate keratitis, dry eye, eye discharge, eye pruritus, ocular hyperaemia, blepharitis, allergic conjunctivitis, corneal disorder, anterior chamber flare, conjunctival hyperaemia, eyelid margin crusting, astenopia, abnormal sensation in eye, eyelids pruritus, allergic blepharitis, erythema of eyelid.
Eye disorders very common ocular pruritus, growth of eyelashes common corneal erosion, ocular burning, allergic conjunctivitis, blepharitis, worsening of visual acuity, asthenopia, conjunctival oedema, foreign body sensation, ocular dryness, eye pain, photophobia, tearing, eye discharge, visual disturbance/blurred vision, increased iris pigmentation, eyelash darkening uncommon retinal haemorrhage, uveitis, cystoid macular oedema, iritis, blepharospasm, eyelid retraction, periorbital erythema.
Eye disorders Common: eye pain, eye irritation, dry eye, abnormal sensation in eyes Uncommon: corneal erosion, corneal epithelium defect, corneal epithelium disorder, punctate keratitis, keratitis, corneal staining, eye discharge, photophobia, vision blurred, visual acuity reduced, blepharospasm, ocular discomfort, eye pruritus, conjunctival follicles, conjunctival disorder, foreign body sensation in eyes, lacrimation increased, eyelids pruritus, erythema of eyelid, eyelid oedema, eyelid disorder, conjunctival hyperaemia, ocular hyperaemia.
The victim observed temporary reversible changes such as erosion and corneal edema, spasm of accommodation(inability to see distant objects clearly), clouding of the retina and others.
One case of severe epithelial erosion of the cornea identified as corneal decompensation by the investigator resolved without sequeleae was reported.
