The Council has prolonged the restrictive measures over actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine for a further six months, until 15 March 2019.
Council Implementing Regulation(EU)2017/1374 of 25 July 2017 implementing Regulation(EU) No 269/2014 concerning restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
In view of the continuing undermining or threatening of the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, Decision 2014/145/CFSP should be renewed for a further six months.

The Decision adds five persons to the list of persons, entities andbodies subject to restrictive measures introduced in respect of actions undermining or threatening territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
On 12 March 2018,the Council prolonged the restrictive measures over actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine for a further six months, until 15 September 2018.
The Heads of State or Government of the Union's Member States added that if the negotiations did not produce results within a limited timeframe travel bans andasset freezes would be imposed on those responsible for actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

In order togive effect to that statement, the Council adopted Regulation(EU) No 269/2014 of 17 March 2014 concerning restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine,(6) which imposed the abovementioned measures on certain persons listed in Annex I to the regulation.
The Council of the European Union has decided that the person that appears in the above-mentioned Annexes should be included in the list of persons and entities subject to restrictive measuresprovided for in Decision 2014/145/CFSP and in Regulation(EU) No 269/2014 concerning restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
