The Contracting Parties shall promote international technical andscientific cooperation in the field of conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity, where necessary, through the appropriate international and national institutions.
Article 6b of the Convention on Biological Diversity requires parties to“integrate, as far as possible and as appropriate,the conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity into relevant sectoral or cross-sectoral plans, programmes and policies.”.
