Six semesters, and ends with the doctoral art project.
Antonijević successfully defended his doctoral art project at the Faculty of Fine Arts in 2014 under the mentorship of Prof. Veljko Lalić.
The studies are completed by preparing an exhibit or presentation about the doctoral art project and by defending the thesis.
The doctoral art project is publicly presented in the space and in a way that is most suitable to the work itself so that it is equally available to academic community and the society at large.
The next three semesters are planned for independent research and preparation of doctoral art project 1 and 2, which are prepared in cooperation with the mentor.

The grade from each course is formed in accordance with the Rules of studies at doctoral art studies at the faculties of the University of Arts in Belgrade.

Reaching the highest standards of artistic achievement through a doctoral art project enables artists to implement and analyze their own and other artists' creative processes and artistic poetics.
The studies are completed when a student has achieved at least 180 ECTS and fulfilled all the obligations proscribed by the studying programme,prepared the final paper- doctoral art project and presented it before the board.
The doctoral art project presents a unique art work created with the process and techniques of one or more fine arts media(painting, sculpture, graphics, drawing, photography, video, digital media…).
Final work at basic, specialist and master studies,a doctoral dissertation or a doctoral art project is expressed in ECTS credits.
In this sense,candidates attend the course Doctoral Art Research 1/1, 1/2, 2/1 and 2/2(50 ECTS credits) as the main professional subject, which is an integral platform for media proliferation in the field of fine and visual arts.
That same year, he started his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts in Belgrade; he defended his doctoral art project in December 12, 2018, under the mentorship of academician Vladimir Veličković.
Doctoral art project combines knowledge and skills acquired during all levels of artistic studies, in particular knowledge acquired during the first three semesters of doctoral studies, as well as the experiences from personal artistic practice.
The program also includes mandatory participation in public presentations, ensuring that you gain experience in cooperation with the experts in your field.The final part of the study program consists of creating and defending a doctoral art project, which brings 60 ECTS points.
Doctoral art project brings together knowledge and skills acquired through all levels of studies, especially those you acquire acquired through the first three semesters of doctoral studies, as well as the experience of individual art practice.
Unlike a scientific and objectivist approach to a phenomenon,the writ en paper accompanying the doctoral art project reflects the candidate's artistic approach, i.e. the author's interpretation of particular topics in the field of culture and art(with adequate explanations and argumentation).
The structure of the programme was conceived as mastering individual expressive media and techniques in the first year, as wel as theory and synthesis of several dif erent media in the second year and final y,by connecting selected dif erent media into a coherent whole in the final work, the doctoral art project.
Curriculum Doctoral art studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts constitute the third and final level of higher education in the field of fine arts, from the traditional understanding of visual creation to modern artistic practices.
The writ en part of the work is formatted as a book andsubmit ed for assessment to the commission for the evaluation and defence of the doctoral art project. The library of the Faculty of Fine Arts should be provided with the required number of copies; in addition, the book wil be included in the digital repository of the University.
