(3) With respect to any country of the Union which deposits an instrument of ratification or accession.
Each Contracting Party shall,at the time when the instrument of ratification or accession is deposited, designate a public or private body which shall act in its territory as Receiving Agency.
The present Covenant shall enter into force three months after the date of the deposit with the Secretary‑General of the United Nations of the thirty‑fifth instrument of ratification or instrument of accession.
(b) Any country of the Union may declare in its instrument of ratification or accession that its ratification or accession shall not apply.
This Convention shall enter into force on the thirtieth day after the date of the deposit with the Secretary‑General of the United Nations of the twenty‑seventh instrument of ratification or instrument of accession.
(2) Each country may, at the time it signs this Agreement or deposits its instrument of ratification or accession, declare that it does not consider itself bound by the provisions of paragraph(1).
If accession takes place less than two years before the expiry of the deadline referred to in paragraph 1,the State shall inform the depositary of the date on which the digital control device will be brought into effective use in its territory when it deposits its instrument of ratification or accession.
Any State may, at the time of signature orwhen depositing its instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession, specify the territory or territories to which this(revised) Convention shall apply.
The Secretary-General of the United Nations shall be notified of the language orlanguages acceptable to each State Party at the time it deposits its instrument of ratification, acceptance or approval of or accession to this Convention.
(2) lt is understood that, at the time a country deposits its instrument of ratification or accession, it will be in a position under its domestic law to give effect to the provisions of this Convention.
The Secretary-General of the United Nations shall be notified of the central authority designated for this purpose at the time each State Party deposits its instrument of ratification, acceptance or approval of or accession to this Convention.
(e) Each Party may, at the time of signature orwhen depositing its instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession inform the Secretary General of the Council of Europe that, for reasons of efficiency, requests made under this paragraph are to be addressed to its central authority.
No State Party to the European Convention on the Protection of Animals during International Transport, opened for signature in Paris on 13 December 1968,may deposit its instrument of ratification, acceptance or approval unless it has already denounced the said Convention or denounces it simultaneously.
Any country may declare in its instrument of ratification or accession, or may inform the Director General by written notification at any time thereafter, that this Convention shall be applicable to all or part of those territories, designated in the declaration or notification, for the external relations of which it is responsible.
No State party to the European Convention on the Protection of the Archaeological Heritage, signed in London on 6 May 1969,may deposit its instrument of ratification, acceptance or approval unless it has already denounced the said Convention or denounces it simultaneously.
For any State that deposits its instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession after the date of the deposit of the fortieth instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession, this Convention shall enter into force 90 days after the date on which that State has deposited its instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession.
Article 14 of the Convention, no party to the European Convention on the Protection of the Archaeological Heritage, signed in London on May 6, 1969,may deposit its instrument of ratification, acceptance or approval unless it has already denounced the said Convention or denounces it simultaneously.
In application of the preceding two paragraphs, the denunciation of the Convention of 6 May 1969 would not become effective simultaneously with the entry into force of this(revised) Convention, a Contracting State may,when depositing its instrument of ratification, acceptance or approval, declare that it will continue to apply the Convention of 6 May 1969 until the entry into force of this(revised) Convention.
