It is only those who believe not in Allah and the Last Day and whose hearts are in doubt that ask your leave(to be exempted from Jihad). So in their doubts they waver.

And for their saying: verily We have slain the Messiah'Isa son of Maryam, an apostle of Allah, whereas they slew him not, nor they crucified him but it was made dubious unto them. And verily those who differ therein are in doubt thereof, they have no knowledge thereof; they but follow an opinion; and surely they slew him not.

What, has the Remembrance been sent down on him out of us all?' Nay, but they are in doubt of My Remembrance; nay, they have not yet tasted My chastisement.
நம்மில், இவர் பேரில்தான் நினைவுறுத்தும் நல்லுபதேசம் இறக்கப்பட்டு விட்டதோ?"( என்ற் உம் கூறுகிறார்கள்.) அவ்வாறல்ல! அவர்கள் எனது போதனையில் சந்தேகத்தில் இருக்கின்றனர் அவ்வாறல்ல! இன்னும் அவர்கள் என் வேதனையை அனுபவித்தத் இல்லை.

He had no authority over them, but that We may ascertain those who believe in the Hereafter from those who are in doubt about it, and your Lord is watchful over all things.
எனினும் அவர்கள் மீது அவனுக்கு யாதோர் அதிகாரமுமில்லை- ஆயினும் மறுமையை நம்புகிறவர்களை அதனைப்பற்றி சந்தேகத்திலிருப்போரை விட்டும் நாம்அறி( வித்திடு )வற்க் ஆகவ் ஏ( இது நடந்தது); மேலும் உம்முடைய இறைவன் அனைத்துப் பொருட்களைய் உம் பாது காப்போனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

Has their knowledge advanced so much as to know the Hereafter? On the contrary, they are in doubt concerning it; in fact they are blind towards it.
ஆனால் மறுமையைப் பற்றிய அவர்களுடைய அறிவோ மிகக் கீழ்நிலையிலே உள்ளது அவர்கள் அதில்( பின்னும்) சந்தேகத்தில் ஏயே இருக்கின்றனர் அது மட்டுமா? அதைப்பற்றி அவர்கள் குருடர்களாகவே இருக்கின்றனர்..

Only those ask thee for exemption who believe not in Allah and the Last Day, and whose hearts are in doubt, so that they are tossed in their doubts to and fro.

And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah's messenger- they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain.

Indeed, those who differ about him are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it, except the following of assumptions. Certainly, they did not kill him.

And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but[another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him.

And because they said,“We have killed the Messiah, Eisa the son of Maryam, the Messenger of Allah”; they did not slay him nor did they crucify him, but a look-alike was created for them; and those who disagree concerning it are in doubt about it; they know nothing of it, except the following of assumptions; and without doubt, they did not kill him.

They declared,"We have put to death the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the Messenger of God." They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but it only seemed to them[as if it had been so]. And those who differ in this matter are in doubt concerning it. They have no definite knowledge about it, but only follow mere conjecture. But they certainly did not kill him.

Those who are at variance concerning him surely are in doubt regarding him; they have no knowledge of him, except the following of surmise; and they slew him not of a certainty-- no indeed;
