The Solomon Islands had not submitted 2006 Article 7 data butthe 2006 country programme data indicated possible non-compliance; and country programme data had not been provided for 2006 or 2007 for Tuvalu, the United Arab Emirates and Vanuata.

The representative of the secretariat noted that the country programme data provided information that could help evaluate the likelihood of future compliance in Article 5 Parties and could help identify Parties that exceeded control measures where Article 7 data were unavailable.
He then reported findings from country programme data related to HCFCs, including HCFC consumption; quota systems; importer registration requirements; training of Customs officers, trainers and refrigeration technicians; and numbers of operational recovery and recycling machines.
