On 7 September 2010, the Comoros deposited with the Secretary-General, pursuant to article 47(9)of the Convention, a list of geographical coordinates of points defining the archipelagic baselines of the Comoros.
On 5 August 2009, France deposited, pursuant to article 75, paragraph 2,of the Convention, the list of geographical coordinates of points defining the outer limits of the exclusive economic zone of Tromelin Island and Réunion Island, including the geographical coordinates as contained in the Agreement between France and Madagascar on the delimitation of maritime zones between Réunion Island and Madagascar of 14 April 2005.
On 27 August 2004, Brazil deposited with the Secretary-General, in accordance with article 75,paragraph 2 of UNCLOS, the list of geographical coordinates of points defining the outer limit of the Brazilian Exclusive Economic Zone.
On 11 May 2004, Brazil deposited with the Secretary-General, in accordance with article 16, paragraph 2,of UNCLOS, the list of geographical coordinates of points defining the straight baselines along the coast of Brazil. Finally, on 14 May 2004, Trinidad and Tobago deposited with the Secretary-General, in accordance with article 16, paragraph 2, and article 47, paragraph 9, of UNCLOS, a map showing its archipelagic baselines and territorial sea limits and the list of geographical coordinates of points defining its archipelagic baselines.
On 15 July 2010, Lebanon deposited, pursuant to article 75(2) of the Convention,charts and a list of geographical coordinates of points defining the southern limit of the exclusive economic zone of Lebanon.
On 11 December 2008, the Bahamas deposited, pursuant to article 47, paragraph 9,of the Convention, a list of geographical coordinates of points defining the archipelagic baselines, as contained in the Archipelagic Waters and Maritime Jurisdiction(Archipelagic Baselines) Order, 2008(Order S.I. No. 107 of 2008), issued under Section 3(2) of the Archipelagic Waters and Maritime Jurisdiction Act, 1993, accompanied by an illustrative map.
On 25 August 2006, Ireland deposited with the Secretary-General, in accordance with article 75, paragraph 2,of UNCLOS, a list of geographical coordinates of points, in World Geodetic System 84, specifying the outer limits of the exclusive economic zone of Ireland(ibid.).
On 31 August 2009, Grenada deposited, pursuant to articles 16(2) and 47(9)of the Convention, the list of geographical coordinates of points of closing lines defining the internal waters of Grenada as contained in the Statutory Rules and Orders No. 32 of 1992; and the list of geographical coordinates of points defining archipelagic baselines of Grenada as contained in the Statutory Rules and Orders No. 31 of 1992.
On 26 February 2009, the United Arab Emirates, which signed the Convention, deposited, pursuant to article 16, paragraph 2,of the Convention, a list of geographical coordinates of points defining straight baselines, as contained in decision No. 5/2009 of the United Arab Emirates Ministerial Council with respect to the Application of Straight Baselines System to a Part of the Coast of the United Arab Emirates.
On 2 September 2005, Croatia deposited, under article 75(2)of UNCLOS, the list of geographical coordinates of points defining the outer limit of the Ecological and Fisheries Protection Zone of the Republic of Croatia(see Law of the Sea Bulletin No. 59).
On 29 January 2010, India deposited, pursuant to article 16(2)of the Convention, a list of geographical coordinates of points defining the baselines of India, as contained in the Notifications of the Government of India dated 11 May 2009 and 20 November 2009.
On 11 March 2009, Indonesia deposited, pursuant to article 47, paragraph 9,of the Convention, a list of geographical coordinates of points of the Indonesian Archipelagic Baselines based on the Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 38 of 2002, as amended by the Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 37 of 2008.
On 1 April 2009, the Philippines deposited, pursuant to article 47, paragraph 9,of the Convention, a list of geographical coordinates of points as contained in Republic Act No. 9522: An Act to Amend Certain Provisions of Republic Act No. 3046, as Amended by Republic Act No. 5446, to Define the Archipelagic Baselines of the Philippines, and for Other Purposes.
On 10 December 2008, Myanmar deposited, pursuant to article 16, paragraph 2,of the Convention, a list of geographical coordinates of points defining straight baselines for the Preparis and CoCo Islands, as contained in the Law Amending the Territorial Sea and Maritime Zones Law of 5 December 2008(The State Peace and Development Council Law No. 8/2008).
Since the issuance of the last report, Seychelles deposited with the Secretary-General,pursuant to UNCLOS requirements, a list of geographical coordinates of points defining the outer limits of its exclusive economic zone and the continental shelf, as contained in its Maritime Zones, Exclusive Economic Zone and Continental Shelf Order of 14 November 2002.6 Other developments relating to maritime issues7 are presented below by region.
On 19 August 2009, Ireland deposited with the Secretary-General,pursuant to article 76(9) of the Convention, a list of geographical coordinates of points, including geodetic datum, accompanied by an illustrative map, permanently describing the outer limits of its continental shelf beyond 200 nautical miles from the baselines from which the breadth of the territorial sea of Ireland is measured in the area abutting the Porcupine Abyssal Plain.
On 12 March 2004, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland deposited, with reference to article 75, paragraph 2,of UNCLOS, the list of geographical coordinates of points defining the outer limits of a zone adjacent to the territorial sea of the British Indian Ocean Territory, known as the Environment(Protection and Preservation) Zone, established for that Territory by Proclamation No. 1 of 17 September 2003.
Between August 2004 and January 2005,several coastal States deposited charts or lists of geographical coordinates of points with the Secretary-General.
Alternatively, the lists of geographical coordinates of points, specifying the geodetic datum.
Where appropriate, lists of geographical coordinates of points, specifying the geodetic datum, may be substituted for such outer limit lines or lines of delimitation.
On 30 November 2010, France deposited, pursuant to article 75(2)of the Convention, lists of geographical coordinates of points defining the outer limits of the exclusive economic zone of Clipperton Island.
