The Chairperson said that the Group of Latin American and Caribbean States, the Group of Western European and Other States and the Groupof Asian States had nominated, respectively, Ms. Melon(Argentina), Ms. Ploder(Austria) and Mr. Al-Shami(Yemen) for the posts of Vice-Chairpersons, and the Group of Eastern European States had nominated Mr. Garayev(Azerbaijan) for the post of Rapporteur.
Ms. Ploder(Austria) said that Gambia, India, Lebanon, Mexico, Panama, Philippines and Ukraine had joined in sponsoring the draft resolution.

Ms. Ploder(Austria) said that her country had always been an active supporter of the mandate on the human rights of IDPs, and it remained committed to promoting and protecting their rights.
Ms. Melon(Argentina), Ms. Ploder(Austria) and Mr. Al-Shami(Yemen) were elected Vice Chairpersons and Mr. Garayev(Azerbaijan) was elected Rapporteur by acclamation.
Ms. Ploder(Austria) said that, since the introduction of the draft resolution, Brazil, Greece, Haiti, Japan, Lithuania, the Netherlands, the Niger and San Marino had joined the sponsors.
Ms. Ploder(Austria) asked what States could do to help minority groups to overcome the difficulties faced in the context of interreligious dialogue, while also maintaining a neutral role.
Ms. Ploder(Austria) said that Austria ' s national action plan to implement the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities included objectives aimed at eliminating violence against women with disabilities.
Ms. Ploder(Austria) said that institutional early warning mechanisms were important in identifying tensions before they arose and preventing conflict, and her delegation wondered whether there were any examples of good practice in that area.
Ms. Ploder(Austria) said that the report had mentioned that, in addition to legal regulations that fully respected human rights, digital literacy training was of crucial importance to ensure that the Internet had a positive effect and that such training should clarify the benefits not only of accessing information online, but also of responsibly contributing information.
