(d) Enforce, ratify or conclude, as appropriate, international conventions, such as the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, the Convention on Biological Diversity and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Kyoto Protocol; if required, adopt national legislation to implement those conventions and promote collaboration mechanisms for their implementation.

(c) Invite all States to ratify or accede to the International Labour Organization(ILO) Maritime Labour Convention of 2006, Work in Fishing Convention of 2007, and Seafarers ' Identity Documents Convention(Revised)of 2003, and to effectively implement those Conventions, emphasizing the need to provide technical cooperation and assistance in that regard;
Invites States that have not yet done so to ratify or accede to the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006, the Work in Fishing Convention, 2007(No. 188) and the Seafarers ' Identity Documents Convention(Revised), 2003(No. 185)of the International Labour Organization and to effectively implement those Conventions, and emphasizes the need to provide to States, at their request, technical cooperation and assistance in that regard;
Invites all States to ratify or accede to the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006, the Work in Fishing Convention, 2007(No. 188) and the Seafarers ' Identity Documents Convention(Revised), 2003(No. 185)of the International Labour Organization and to effectively implement those Conventions, and emphasizes the need to provide technical cooperation and assistance in that regard;
But steps will be taken to join those conventions and, thereafter, suitable implementing legislation would be enacted in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to implement those two conventions. .
Indeed, a lack of capacity owing to limited resources and technical know-how has continually been identified and emphasized as a major impediment for smallisland developing States in their efforts to effectively implement those important conventions.
Also calls upon Member States, consistent with their obligations as parties to the relevant international conventions, to fully implement the provisions of those conventions, in accordance with the fundamental principles of their legal systems, by permitting extradition when any one of the bases of jurisdiction provided for in any one of those conventions is asserted by a requesting State;
We encourage both landlocked developing countries andtransit developing countries to effectively implement the provisions of those conventions and agreements;
I urge all States to fully and promptly implement the provisions of those conventions and resolution 1540(2004).
As a State party to 7 of the 12 counter-terrorism conventions, Ethiopia would continue to play its part fully in combating international terrorism andto faithfully implement the provisions of those conventions and of the Security Council resolutions, including resolution 1373(2001).
