The indicative quantities of flax and hemp straw required to obtain 100 kg of each product referred to in(a);

After each export period, the Commission shall check, on the basis of the information available to it, for each product and each destination or group of destinations,whether the quantities applied for exceed the indicative quantities set, and shall fix the definitive refund rates.
Those rules relate in particular to fixing the indicative quantities for the first three quarters, the ceilings for individual applications, the frequency for the submission of licence applications and for the issue of licences, and the issue of licences for the re-use of unused quantities. .
For system A3 the Commission shall take decisions on issuing invitations to tender in accordance with the procedure laid down in Article 46 of Regulation(EC) No 2200/96 andon the indicative rates and the indicative quantities for which licences may be issued, the deadlines for submission of tenders and the terms of validity of the licences.
For the Community as a whole for the third quarter of 1997, the indicative quantities provided for in Article 9(1) of Regulation(EEC) No 1442/93 for imports of bananas under the tariff quota provided for in Articles 18 and 19 of Regulation(EEC) No 404/93 shall be 27% of the quantities laid down for each country or group of coun tries mentioned in Annex I to Regulation(EC) No 478/95.
Regulation(EC) No 490/94- Official Journal L 62, 5.3.1994 Commission Regulation of 4 March 1994 fixing indicative quantities for imports of bananas into the Community for the second quarter of 1994: 550 000 tonnes under the tariff quota, 30% of the total annual quantity for category A and Β operators, 30% of the total annual quantity for imports of traditional ACP bananas.
For the first three quarters of the year, an indicative quantity expressed as the same percentage of available quantities from each of the tariff quotas may be fixed for the purposes of issuing import licences.
Where, for a given quarter,the quantities applied for appreciably exceed any indicative quantity fixed under Article 14, or exceed the quantities available, a percentage reduction to be applied to the amounts requested shall be fixed.
For the second quarter of 2000, the indicative quantity referred to in Article 14(1) of Regulation(EC) No 2362/98 shall be 29% of the quantities fixed for each of the origins listed in Annex I to that Regulation.
If the quantities of a product applied for in respect of a destination or group of destinations exceed orthreaten to exceed the indicative quantity set for the current export period, the Commission may set a date from which licence applications will be rejected if the relevant export declaration has been accepted after that date during the current export period.
The indicative quantity referred to in Article 14(1) of Regulation(EC) No 2362/98 for imports of bananas under the tariff quotas or as part of the quantity of tradi tional ACP bananas, provided for in Articles 18 and 19 of Regulation(EEC) No 404/93 is fixed for the third quarter of 1999 at 25% of the quantities established for each of the origins mentioned in Annex I to Regulation(EC) No 2362/98.
Whereas Article 16(2) of Regulation(EEC) No 1442/93 provides that where the quantities of bananas originating in one and the same ACP State listed in the Annex to Regulation(EEC)No 404/93 for which import licences are applied for exceed the indicative quantity fixed for the period ín question, the Commission is to set a single reduction percentage to all licence applications mentioning that country of origin;
These quantities are indicative, which may be freely imported beers, wines and spirits as long as it is for personal use.
