In the case of replaceable filament lamps operated directly under vehicle voltage system conditions.
This Regulation applies to motor vehicle headlamps emitting an asymmetrical passing beam and/or driving beam, which may incorporate lenses of glass or plastic material andwhich are equipped with replaceable filament lamps.
In the case of replaceable filament lamp(s) light sources.
For replaceable filament lamps: when equipped with filament lamps at 6.75 V, 13.5 V or 28.0 V, the luminous intensity values produced shall be corrected.
In case of electronic light source control gear(s) being part of the headlamp, the Root Mean Square(RMS) voltage at the terminals of the affected replaceable filament light source(s) shall be not smaller than 12.0 V if voltage supplied by the vehicle is more than 12.0 V, and no more than 13.5 V. The control gear(s) shall be considered to be part(s) of the headlamp.
Nevertheless, replaceable filament light sources emitting red light as regulated by ECE Regulation No. 37 are exempted because of the above-mentioned footnote.
GRE noted the proposal by GTB concerning replaceable filament lamps and agreed to resume consideration of it at the next session.
In case of replaceable filament light source(s) operated directly under vehicle voltage system conditions.
In the case of replaceable filament lamps operated directly under vehicle voltage system conditions.
If in the case of a lamp equipped with a replaceable filament light source the results of the tests described above do not meet the requirements, tests shall be repeated using another standard(étalon) filament lamp.
In case of replaceable filament light source(s) operated directly under vehicle voltage system conditions: the test shall be performed at 6.3 V, 13.2 V or 28.0 V as applicable except if the applicant specifies that the test sample may be used at a different voltage.
In the case of replaceable filament lamps operated directly under vehicle voltage system conditions, the system or parts thereof shall be checked by means of(an) uncoloured standard(étalon) filament lamp(s) designed for a rated voltage of 12 V.
If, in the case of a lamp equipped with a replaceable filament light source according to Regulation No. 37, the results of the tests described above do not meet the requirements, tests shall be repeated using another standard filament lamps.
In the case of(a) replaceable filament lamp(s) operated by one or more control gear(s) being part of the headlamp, all measurements shall be made by applying at the terminals of the headlamp the power condition(s) specified by the Applicant, or, failing that, 6.3 V, 13.2 V or 28.0 V.
The filament of a replaceable light source shall be seasoned before such measurement.
The upper beam requirements of Figure 27-1 or Figure 27-2, or Figure 17-1 or Figure 17-2,if the light sources in the headlamp system are any combination of dual filament replaceable light sources other than that include Type HB2; or.
As safety-relevant requirements of Regulation No. 37, like the colour coating endurance test(which was introduced to Regulation No. 37 at the request of the United Kingdom and Germany at the forty-ninth GRE session), do not apply for non-replaceable light sources or light source modules,it would increase safety to give also the opportunity to use replaceable red filament lamps regulated by Regulation No. 37.
