Comext is the official database containing statistics on the external trade of the European Union and on trade between the Member States.
Since 1 October 2004, Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Communities, has been providing all data that werepreviously contained in the fee-based databases NewCronos, Comext and Europroms free of charge in the Internet.
Comext contains statistics on trade between the Member States of the Community and on their trade with some 200 non-member countries.
Though Eurostat is not a host organization,further information on the Comext, Cronos, FSSRS, Regio, Sabine and TES data bases can, nevertheless, be obtained from: The Commission of the EC- Eurostat Bâtiment Jean Monnet, Plateau de Kirchberg.
