Maslow had this idea back in the 1950s that as people rise above their biological needs, as the world becomes safer and we don't have to worry about basic needs being met-- our biological system, whatever motivates us, is being satisfied-- we can rise above them, to think beyond ourselves toward self-actualization or transcendence, and rise above the materialist.
Brandler paved the way for Maslow, just as Maslow paved the way for Thälmann who combines all the mistakes of Brandler and Maslow and adds to them his own blunders which stem from bureaucratic stupidity and boastful ignorance.
This went so far that Maslow declared at a conference in Moscow in January 1924 that the slogan of winning over the trade unions should be rejected and replaced with the call for the destruction of the Trade unions!
So as I started reading more Maslow, what I started to realize is that Maslow, later in his life, wanted to take this hierarchy for the individual and apply it to the collective, to organizations and specifically to business.
Thanks to Abraham Maslow and other pioneers in the field of transpersonal and quantum psychology we got some good ideas of what distinguishes successful people from those who feel like being the victims of the circumstances.
How are we to explain the fact that Ruth Fischer and Maslow, Scholem and Urbahns, who have been expelled from the Comintern and from the Communist Party of Germany as degenerate and renegade elements, hnd protection and a hearty welcome precisely in the Trotskyist opposition?
