And as for Thamud, We guided them, but they preferred blindness over guidance, so the thunderbolt of humiliating punishment seized them for what they used to earn.
എന്നാല്‍ ഥമൂദ് ഗോത്രമോ, അവര്‍ക്ക് നാം നേര്‍വഴി കാണിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു. അപ്പോള്‍ സന്‍മാര്‍ഗത്തേക്കാളുപരി അന്ധതയെ അവര്‍ പ്രിയങ്കരമായി കരുതുകയാണ് ചെയ്തത്‌. അങ്ങനെ അവര്‍ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നതിന്‍റെ ഫലമായി അപമാനകരമായ ഒരു ഭയങ്കര ശിക്ഷ അവരെ പിടികൂടി.

And as for Thamud; We guided them to the righteous path.
എന്നാല്‍ ഥമൂദ്‌ ഗോത്രമോ, അവര്‍ക്ക്‌ നാം നേര്‍വഴി കാണിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

They are the ones whom Allah has blessed from among the prophets of Adam's progeny, and from[the progeny of] those We carried with Noah, and from among the progeny of Abraham and Israel, and from among those that We guided and chose. When the signs of the All-beneficent were recited to them, they would fall down weeping in prostration.
ഇവരാണ് അല്ലാഹു അനുഗ്രഹിച്ച പ്രവാചകന്മാര്‍. ആദം സന്തതികളില്‍ പെട്ടവര്‍. നൂഹിനോടൊപ്പം നാം കപ്പലില്‍ കയറ്റിയവരുടെയും; ഇബ്റാഹീമിന്റെയും ഇസ്രയേലിന്റെയും വംശത്തില്‍ നിന്നുള്ളവരാണിവര്‍. നാം നേര്‍വഴിയില്‍ നയിക്കുകയും പ്രത്യേകം തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തവരില്‍ പെട്ടവരും. പരമകാരുണികനായ അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ വചനങ്ങള്‍ വായിച്ചുകേള്‍ക്കുമ്പോള്‍ സാഷ്ടാംഗം പ്രണമിച്ചും കരഞ്ഞും നിലം പതിക്കുന്നവരായിരുന്നു ഇവര്‍.

എന്നാല്‍ ഥമൂദ് ഗോത്രമോ, അവര്‍ക്ക് നാം നേര്‍വഴി കാണിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു. അപ്പോള്‍ സന്‍മാര്‍ഗത്തേക്കാളുപരി അന്ധതയെ അവര്‍ പ്രിയങ്കരമായി കരുതുകയാണ് ചെയ്തത്‌. അങ്ങനെ അവര്‍ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നതിന്‍റെ ഫലമായി അപമാനകരമായ ഒരു ഭയങ്കര ശിക്ഷ അവരെ പിടികൂടി.

And as for the tribe of the Thamud We guided them but they preferred blindness to the guidance, wherefore the bolt of the torment of abjection laid hold of them because of that which they had been earning.

അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു നാം ഇസ്ഹാഖിനെയും യഅ്ഖൂബിനെയും സമ്മാനിച്ചു. അവരെയൊക്കെ നാം നേര്‍വഴിയിലാക്കി. അതിനുമുമ്പ് നൂഹിനു നാം സത്യമാര്‍ഗം കാണിച്ചുകൊടുത്തിരുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ സന്താനങ്ങളില്‍പ്പെട്ട ദാവൂദിനെയും സുലൈമാനെയും അയ്യൂബിനെയും യൂസുഫിനെയും മൂസായെയും ഹാറൂനെയും നാം നേര്‍വഴിയിലാക്കി. അവ്വിധം നാം സല്‍ക്കര്‍മികള്‍ക്ക് പ്രതിഫലം നല്‍കുന്നു.
