They said: O Noah! Thou hast disputed with us and multiplied disputation with us; now bring upon us that wherewith thou threatenest us, if thou art of the truthful.

Eat of the clean things wherewith We have provided you, and wax not exorbitant in respect thereof, lest My wrath alight on you; and upon whomsoever My wrath alighteth, he surely perisheth.

Neither have our kings, our princes, our priests, nor our fathers, kept your law, nor hearkened unto your commandments and your testimonies, wherewith you did testify against them.
ഞങ്ങളുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാരും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരും നിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അനുസരിച്ചു നടന്നിട്ടില്ല; നിന്റെ കല്പനകളും നീ അവരോടു സാക്ഷീകരിച്ച നിന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിച്ചിട്ടുമില്ല.

O ye who believe! spend of that wherewith We have provided you ere a day come when there will be no trafficking, nor friendship, nor intercession. The disbelievers, they are the wrong-doers.
സത്യവിശ്വാസികളേ, ക്രയവിക്രയമോ സ്നേഹബന്ധമോ ശുപാര്‍ശയോ നടക്കാത്ത ഒരു ദിവസം വന്നെത്തുന്നതിനു മുമ്പായി, നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് നാം നല്‍കിയിട്ടുള്ളതില്‍ നിന്ന് നിങ്ങള്‍ ചെലവഴിക്കുവിന്‍. സത്യനിഷേധികള്‍ തന്നെയാകുന്നു അക്രമികള്‍.

They said:"You have come to us that we should worship Allah Alone and forsake that which our fathers used to worship. So bring us that wherewith you have threatened us if you are of the truthful.".
അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു:" ഞങ്ങള്‍ ഏകദൈവത്തെ മാത്രം ആരാധിക്കാനും ഞങ്ങളുടെ പൂര്‍വപിതാക്കള്‍ പൂജിച്ചിരുന്നവയെയൊക്കെ വെടിയാനും വേണ്ടിയാണോ നീ ഞങ്ങളുടെ അടുത്തേക്ക് വന്നത്? എങ്കില്‍, നീ ഞങ്ങളെ ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ആ ശിക്ഷയിങ്ങ് കൊണ്ടുവരിക; നീ സത്യവാനാണെങ്കില്‍.”.

And they appoint for that which they knew not a portion of that wherewith We have provided them By Allah! ye will surely be questioned regarding that which ye have been fabricating.
നാം അവര്‍ക്കു നല്‍കിയതില്‍നിന്ന് ഒരു വിഹിതം അവര്‍ക്കുതന്നെ അറിയാത്ത ചിലതിന്നായി അവര്‍ നീക്കിവെക്കുന്നു. അല്ലാഹുവാണ് സത്യം. നിങ്ങള്‍ കൃത്രിമമായി കെട്ടിച്ചമക്കുന്നതിനെ സംബന്ധിച്ച് നിങ്ങള്‍ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യപ്പെടുകതന്നെ ചെയ്യും.

They said: art thou come unto us that we should worship God alone and leave that which our fathers were wont to worship? Bring thou then upon us that wherewith thou threatenest us if thou sayest sooth.
അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു:" ഞങ്ങള്‍ ഏകദൈവത്തെ മാത്രം ആരാധിക്കാനും ഞങ്ങളുടെ പൂര്‍വപിതാക്കള്‍ പൂജിച്ചിരുന്നവയെയൊക്കെ വെടിയാനും വേണ്ടിയാണോ നീ ഞങ്ങളുടെ അടുത്തേക്ക് വന്നത്? എങ്കില്‍, നീ ഞങ്ങളെ ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ആ ശിക്ഷയിങ്ങ് കൊണ്ടുവരിക; നീ സത്യവാനാണെങ്കില്‍.”.

O believers, expend of that wherewith We have provided you, before there comes a day wherein shall be neither traffick, nor friendship, nor intercession; and the unbelievers-- they are the evildoers.
സത്യവിശ്വാസികളേ, ക്രയവിക്രയമോ സ്നേഹബന്ധമോ ശുപാര്‍ശയോ നടക്കാത്ത ഒരു ദിവസം വന്നെത്തുന്നതിനു മുമ്പായി, നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് നാം നല്‍കിയിട്ടുള്ളതില്‍ നിന്ന് നിങ്ങള്‍ ചെലവഴിക്കുവിന്‍. സത്യനിഷേധികള്‍ തന്നെയാകുന്നു അക്രമികള്‍.

The chieftains of his people, who were scornful, said unto those whom they despised, unto such of them as believed: Know ye that Salih is one sent from his Lord? They said: Lo! In that wherewith he hath been sent we are believers.
അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജനതയിലെ അഹങ്കാരികളായ പ്രമാണിമാര്‍ അവരിലെ ദുര്‍ബലരോട് അഥവാ അവരിലെ വിശ്വസിച്ചവരോട് ചോദിച്ചു:" സ്വാലിഹ് തന്റെ നാഥന്‍ നിയോഗിച്ച ദൂതന്‍ തന്നെയാണെന്ന് നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കുറപ്പുണ്ടോ?” അവര്‍ അറിയിച്ചു:" അദ്ദേഹം ഞങ്ങളിലേക്കു വന്നത് ഏതൊരു സന്ദേശവുമായാണോ അതില്‍ വിശ്വസിച്ചവരാണ് ഞങ്ങള്‍; സംശയമില്ല.”.

And if there be a party of you who believeth in that wherewith I am sent and a party who believeth not, then have patience until Allah judgeth between us, and He is the Best of judges.
ഏതൊരു സന്ദേശവുമായാണോ ഞാന്‍ നിയോഗിതനായിരിക്കുന്നത് അതില്‍ നിങ്ങളിലൊരു വിഭാഗം വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും മറ്റൊരു വിഭാഗം അവിശ്വസിക്കുകയുമാണെങ്കില്‍ അല്ലാഹു നമുക്കിടയില്‍ തീര്‍പ്പ് കല്‍പിക്കുംവരെ ക്ഷമിക്കുക. തീരുമാനമെടുക്കുന്നവരില്‍ അത്യുത്തമന്‍ അവന്‍ തന്നെ.

The chiefs of those who were stiff-necked amongst His people said unto those who were counted weak-unto such of them as believed: know ye that Salih is a sent one of his Lord? They said: verily we are believers in that wherewith he hath been sent.
അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജനതയിലെ അഹങ്കാരികളായ പ്രമാണിമാര്‍ അവരിലെ ദുര്‍ബലരോട് അഥവാ അവരിലെ വിശ്വസിച്ചവരോട് ചോദിച്ചു:" സ്വാലിഹ് തന്റെ നാഥന്‍ നിയോഗിച്ച ദൂതന്‍ തന്നെയാണെന്ന് നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കുറപ്പുണ്ടോ?” അവര്‍ അറിയിച്ചു:" അദ്ദേഹം ഞങ്ങളിലേക്കു വന്നത് ഏതൊരു സന്ദേശവുമായാണോ അതില്‍ വിശ്വസിച്ചവരാണ് ഞങ്ങള്‍; സംശയമില്ല.”.

And they appoint for that which they knew not a portion of that wherewith We have provided them By Allah! ye will surely be questioned regarding that which ye have been fabricating.
നാം അവര്‍ക്ക് നല്‍കിയിട്ടുള്ളതില്‍ നിന്ന് ഒരു ഓഹരി, അവര്‍ക്ക് തന്നെ ശരിയായ അറിവില്ലാത്ത ചിലതിന്( വ്യാജദൈവങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്‌) അവര്‍ നിശ്ചയിച്ച് വെക്കുന്നു. അല്ലാഹുവെതന്നെയാണ, നിങ്ങള്‍ കെട്ടിച്ചമയ്ക്കുന്നതിനെപ്പറ്റി തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നിങ്ങള്‍ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്നതാണ്‌.

Even so We have revealed Unto thee a spirit of Our command; thou knewest not whatsoever the Book was, nor whatsoever the faith; We have made it a light wherewith We guide whomsoever We will of Our bondmen. And verily thou guidest Unto a straight path.
ഇവ്വിധം നാം നിനക്ക് നമ്മുടെ കല്‍പനയാല്‍ ചൈതന്യവത്തായ ഒരു സന്ദേശം ബോധനം നല്‍കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. വേദപുസ്തകത്തെപ്പറ്റിയോ സത്യവിശ്വാസത്തെ സംബന്ധിച്ചോ നിനക്കൊന്നുമറിയുമായിരുന്നില്ല. അങ്ങനെ ആ സന്ദേശത്തെ നാമൊരു വെളിച്ചമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. അതുവഴി നമ്മുടെ ദാസന്മാരില്‍ നിന്ന് നാം ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവരെ നേര്‍വഴിയില്‍ നയിക്കുന്നു. തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നീ നേര്‍മാര്‍ഗത്തിലേക്കാണ് വഴി നടത്തുന്നത്;

(Saying) eat of the Taiyibat(good lawful things) wherewith We have provided you, and commit no oppression therein, lest My Anger should justly descend on you. And he on whom My Anger descends, he is indeed perished.
നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് നാം തന്നിട്ടുള്ള വിശിഷ്ടമായ വസ്തുക്കളില്‍ നിന്ന് നിങ്ങള്‍ ഭക്ഷിച്ച് കൊള്ളുക. അതില്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ അതിരുകവിയരുത്‌.( നിങ്ങള്‍ അതിരുകവിയുന്ന പക്ഷം) എന്‍റെ കോപം നിങ്ങളുടെ മേല്‍ വന്നിറങ്ങുന്നതാണ്‌. എന്‍റെ കോപം ആരുടെമേല്‍ വന്നിറങ്ങുന്നുവോ അവന്‍ നാശത്തില്‍ പതിച്ചു.

And when it is said unto them: Spend of that wherewith Allah hath provided you, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Shall we feed those whom Allah, if He willed, would feed? Ye are in naught else than error manifest.
നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് അല്ലാഹു നല്‍കിയതില്‍നിന്ന് ചെലവഴിക്കുക" എന്നാവശ്യപ്പെട്ടാല്‍ സത്യനിഷേധികള്‍ വിശ്വാസികളോടു പറയും:" അല്ലാഹു വിചാരിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കില്‍ അവന്‍ തന്നെ ഇവര്‍ക്ക് അന്നം നല്‍കുമായിരുന്നല്ലോ. പിന്നെ ഞങ്ങളിവര്‍ക്ക് എന്തിന് അന്നം നല്‍കണം? നിങ്ങള്‍ വ്യക്തമായ വഴികേടില്‍ തന്നെ.".
