Work with a motion path.

The motion path may not be where you expect it, but it is correct.
Convert selected objects to a motion path.

This option is similar to From Current Appearance,only the object finishes in its current location and the motion path is offset.
To preview the motion path, click the object on the slide, and then click Animations> Preview.
Note: Having the guides andrulers turned on helps me do this, and since the motion path is locked, it stays where it belongs.
Now I add another custom motion path to go from the center of the second pan point to the center of the slide.
To redraw the path, tap the object, tap Redraw Path in the menu that appears,then drag the object across the slide to create the motion path.
