We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee that thou shouldst be distressed;
ہم نے یہ قرآن تجھ پر اس لیے نہیں اتارا کہ تو مشقت میں پڑ جائے

Shouldst not thou also have had pity on thy fellow-servant, even as I had pity on thee?'.
آپ نے ہیروں کا ربن نہیں پہنا؟میں نے آپ سے خاص طور پر فر مائش کی تھی!‘

We have not revealed unto thee(Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed.

Shouldst thou not have had compassion on thy fellow-servant, as I had compassion on thee?'.
آپ نے ہیروں کا ربن نہیں پہنا؟میں نے آپ سے خاص طور پر فر مائش کی تھی!‘

We granted not to any man before thee permanent life(here): if then thou shouldst die, would they live permanently?
اور(اے پیغمبر) ہم نے تم سے پہلے کسی آدمی کو بقائے دوام نہیں بخشا۔ بھلا اگر تم مرجاؤ تو کیا یہ لوگ ہمیشہ رہیں گے?

And how shouldst thou bear patiently that thou hast never encompassed in thy knowledge?'.
اور بھلا اس بات پر آپ صبر کر بھی کیسے سکتے ہیں جو تمہارے علمی دائرہ سے باہر ہے

We granted not to any man before thee permanent life(here): if then thou shouldst die would they live permanently?
اور ہم نے آپ سے پہلے کسی اِنسان کو(دنیا کی ظاہری زندگی میں) بقائے دوام نہیں بخشی، تو کیا اگر آپ(یہاں سے) اِنتقال فرما جائیں تو یہ لوگ ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں?

And shouldst thou fear treachery from any people cast back then unto them their covenant to be equal. Verily Allah approveth not the treacherous.
اور اگر تم کسی قوم سے دغا کا اندیشہ کرو تو ان کا عہد ان کی طرف پھینک دو برابری پر بیشک دغا والے اللہ کو پسند نہیں

Eat therefore, and drink, and be comforted; and if thou shouldst see any mortal, say,"I have vowed to the All-merciful a fast, and today I will not speak to any man.
تو کھا اور پی اور آنکھ ٹھنڈی رکھ پھر اگر تو کسی آدمی کو دیکھے تو کہہ دینا میں نے آج رحمان کا روزہ مانا ہے تو آج ہرگز کسی آدمی سے بات نہ کرو ں گی

Shouldst Thou torment them, then verily they are Thine creatures; and shouldst Thou forgive them, then verily Thou! Thow art the Mighty, the Wise.
اگر تو انہیں عذاب دے تو وہ تیرے ہی بندے ہیں اور اگر تو انہیں معاف کر دے تو تو ہی زبردست حکمت والا ہے

Eat therefore, and drink, and be comforted; and if thou shouldst see any mortal, say,"I have vowed to the All-merciful a fast, and today I will not speak to any man.
سوکھا اور پی اور آنکھ ٹھنڈی کر پھر اگر تو کوئی آدمی دیکھے تو کہہ دے کہ میں نے رحمان کے لیے روزہ کی نذر مانی ہے سو آج میں کسی انسان سے بات نہیں کروں گی

And verily they had well-nigh tempted thee away from that which We have revealed unto thee, that thou shouldst fabricate regarding something else; and then surely they would have taken thee as a friend!
یہ لوگ آپ کو اس وحی سے جو ہم نے آپ پر اتاری ہے بہکانا چاہتے کہ آپ اس کے سوا کچھ اور ہی ہمارے نام سے گھڑ گھڑالیں، تب تو آپ کو یہ لوگ اپنا ولی دوست بنا لیتے!

اور اگر آپ کو کسی قوم سے خیانت کا اندیشہ ہو تو ان کا عہد ان کی طرف برابری کی بنیاد پر پھینک دیں۔ بیشک اللہ دغابازوں کو پسند نہیں کرتا

And they indeed strove hard to beguile thee(Muhammad) away from that wherewith We have inspired thee, that thou shouldst invent other than it against Us; and then would they have accepted thee as a friend.
یہ لوگ آپ کو اس وحی سے جو ہم نے آپ پر اتاری ہے بہکانا چاہتے کہ آپ اس کے سوا کچھ اور ہی ہمارے نام سے گھڑ گھڑالیں، تب تو آپ کو یہ لوگ اپنا ولی دوست بنا لیتے

Shouldst thou question them, they will surely say:: we were only plunging about and playing. Say thou: was it Allah and His signs and His apostle that ye have been mocking?
اگر آپ ان سے پوچھیں تو صاف کہہ دیں گے کہ ہم تو یونہی آپس میں ہنس بول رہے تھے۔ کہہ دیجئے کہ اللہ، اس کی آیتیں اور اس کا رسول ہی تمہارے ہنسی مذاق کے لئے ره گئے ہیں؟?

But he said: The God of our fathers hath preordained thee that thou shouldst know his will, and see the Just One, and shouldst hear the voice from his mouth.
اس نے کہا ہمارے باپ دادا کے خدا نے تجھ کو اس لئے مقرّر کیا ہے کہ تو اس کی مرضی کو جانے اور اس راستباز کو دیکھے اور اس کے منہ کی آواز سنے

Shouldst thou question them, they will surely say:: we were only plunging about and playing. Say thou: was it Allah and His signs and His apostle that ye have been mocking?
(اے رسول(ص)) اگر آپ ان سے پوچھ گچھ کریں تو وہ ضرور کہیں گے کہ ہم تو صرف بحث کر رہے تھے اور تفریح طبعی کر رہے تھے۔ کیا تم اللہ، اس کے رسول اور اس کی آیات سے تمسخر کرتے ہو؟?

And verily they had well-nigh tempted thee away from that which We have revealed unto thee, that thou shouldst fabricate regarding something else; and then surely they would have taken thee as a friend!
اور اے پیغمبر جو وحی ہم نے تمہاری طرف بھیجی ہے قریب تھا کہ یہ(کافر) لوگ تم کو اس سے بچلا دیں تاکہ تم اس کے سوا اور باتیں ہماری نسبت بنالو۔ اور اس وقت وہ تم کو دوست بنا لیتے!

Shouldst thou question them, they will surely say:: we were only plunging about and playing. Say thou: was it Allah and His signs and His apostle that ye have been mocking?
اگر ان سے پوچھو کہ تم کیا باتیں کر رہے تھے، تو جھٹ کہہ دیں گے کہ ہم تو ہنسی مذاق اور دل لگی کر رہے تھے ان سے کہو،"کیا تمہاری ہنسی دل لگی اللہ اور اُس کی آیات اور اس کے رسول ہی کے ساتھ تھی؟?

And they indeed strove hard to beguile thee(Muhammad) away from that wherewith We have inspired thee, that thou shouldst invent other than it against Us; and then would they have accepted thee as a friend.
اور اے پیغمبر جو وحی ہم نے تمہاری طرف بھیجی ہے قریب تھا کہ یہ(کافر) لوگ تم کو اس سے بچلا دیں تاکہ تم اس کے سوا اور باتیں ہماری نسبت بنالو۔ اور اس وقت وہ تم کو دوست بنا لیتے

And shouldst thou marvel, then marvellous is their saying: when we have become dust, shall we be in a new creation!' These are they who disbelieved in their Lord; and these!-- the shackles round their necks; and these shall be the fellows of the Fire as abiders therein.
اور اگر تم تعجب کرو تو اچنبھا تو ان کے اس کہنے کا ہے کہ کیا ہم مٹی ہو کر پھر نئے بنیں گے وہ ہیں جو اپنے رب سے منکر ہوئے اور وہ ہیں جن کی گردنوں میں طوق ہوں گے اور وہ دوزخ والے ہیں انھیں اسی میں رہنا

Son of Mary! call to mind My favour upon Thee and upon Thy mother, when I strengthened Thee with the Holy Spirit, that Thou shouldst speak to men alike in the cradle, and when grown up.”.
جب کہے گا اﷲتعالیٰ اے عیسیٰ علیہ السلام بیٹے مریم کے یاد کر ان نعمتوں کو جو کیں میں نے تجھ پر اور تیری ماں پر۔ جب کہ میں نے مدد دی تجھ کو جبرائیل علیہ السلام کے ساتھ باتیں کرتا تھا تو لوگوں سے پنگھوڑے میں اور بڑی عمر میں۔

اے محمدؐ، ان لوگوں نے اِس کوشش میں کوئی کسر اٹھا نہیں رکھی کہ تمہیں فتنے میں ڈال کر اُس وحی سے پھیر دیں جو ہم نے تمہاری طرف بھیجی ہے تاکہ تم ہمارے نام پر اپنی طرف سے کوئی بات گھڑو اگر تم ایسا کرتے تو وہ ضرور تمہیں اپنا دوست بنا لیتے!

Repel not those who call upon their Lord at morn and evening, seeking His Countenance. Thou art not accountable for them in aught, nor are they accountable for thee in aught, that thou shouldst repel them and be of the wrong-doers.
اور جو لوگ اپنے رب کو صبح و شام پکارتے ہیں انہیں اپنے سے دور نہ کر جو الله کی رضا چاہتے ہیں تیرے ذمہ ان کا کوئی حساب نہیں ہے اور نہ تیرا کوئی حساب ان کے ذمہ اگر تو نے انہیں دو ہٹا یا پس تو بے انصافوں میں سے ہوگا

And the Jews will not be pleased with thee, nor will the Christians, till thou follow their creed. Say: Lo! the guidance of Allah(Himself) is Guidance. And if thou shouldst follow their desires after the knowledge which hath come unto thee, then wouldst thou have from Allah no protecting guardian nor helper.
یہود و نصاریٰ آپ سے اس وقت تک راضی نہ ہوں گے جب تک آپ ان کی ملّت کی پیروی نہ کرلیں تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ ہدایت صرف ہدایت هپروردگار ہے--- اور اگر آپ علم کے آنے کے بعد ان کی خواہشات کی پیروی کریں گے تو پھر خدا کے عذاب سے بچانے والا نہ کوئی سرپرست ہوگا نہ مددگار
