ملحد نے کہا: اے رؤسائے دربار!Umar said,"Do not refrain from asking me.
حالی نے کہا روکے نہ پوچھو سبب اس کاUmar said:"I am not asking you about this.
Umar said:“By Allah, no, you have not.
اس شخص نے کہا: خدا کی قسم آپ امام نہیں ہیںUmar said,“By Allah, you are more beloved to me than my own soul between my sides.”.
حضرت عمر ؓنے فرمایا اللہ کی قسم اب آپ کی محبت مجھے اپنی جان سے بھی زیادہ ہےUmar said:“Are our killed ones not in Paradise and are their killed ones not in Hell?”.
عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کیا ہمارے مقتول جنت میں اور ان کے مقتول جہنم میں نہیں جائیں گےUmar said,“We know on which day and in which place that was revealed to the Prophet[saw].
عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کہ ہم اس دن اور اس مقام کو(خوب) جانتے ہیں جب یہ آیت رسول Umar said:“Are our killed ones not in Paradise and are their killed ones not in Hell?”.
حضرت نے فرمایا: کیوں نہیں۔پھر عمر Umar said: Please do it not, for I am afraid that people will trust in it alone; let them go on doing(good) deeds!
عمر نے کہا ایسا مت کیجئے مجھے ڈر ہے لوگ صرف لا الہ الا اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ کرنے لگے گے!Umar said,“We know on which day and in which place it was revealed to the Prophet(peace be upon him).
عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کہ ہم اس دن اور اس مقام کو(خوب) جانتے ہیں جب یہ آیت رسول Umar said,“We know on which day and in which place that was revealed to the Prophet(sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam).
عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کہ ہم اس دن اور اس مقام کو(خوب) جانتے ہیں جب یہ آیت رسول Then Umar said:" By Allah, I do not understand him(ie from the verse) except like what you are saying. .
علی ابن یقطین نے کہا: خدا کی قسم!جیسا میں Umar said,"We know on which day and in which place that was revealed to the Prophet(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کہ ہم اس دن اور اس مقام کو(خوب) جانتے ہیں جب یہ آیت رسول Thereupon'Umar said: We preceded you in migration and so we have more right to Allah's Messenger(may peace be upon him) as compared with you!
اس پر عمر بولے: ہماری ہجرت تم سے پہلے ہے اس لئے ہم رسول خدا سےبہ نسبت تمہارے زیادہ احق ہیں!Umar said,"I do not ask about that, but I ask about those afflictions which will spread like the waves of the sea.".
عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ میں اس کے متعلق نہیں پوچھتا میری مراد تو اس فتنہ سے ہے جو سمندر کی موجوں کی طرح امنڈ آئے گاUmar said:"The Prophet is under the influence of pain, and you have with you the Qur'an; so, the Book of Allah suffices us.".
پس عمر نے کہا کہ بے شک نبی صلی الله علیہ وسلم پر بیماری کا غلبہ ہو رہا ہے اور تمہارےپاس قرآن ہے،کتاب الله ہمارے لئے کافی ہے، پس اہل بیت کا اس پر اختلاف ہو گیاUmar said: I agreed with my Lord in three things; I said,‘Messenger of Allah, if only we were to take the Station of Ibrahim as a place of prayer,' and there was revealed,‘… and take the Station of Ibrahim as a place of prayer.'.
حضرت عمر فرماتے ہیں میں نے اپنے رب سے تین باتوں میں موافقت کی جو اللہ تعالٰی کو منظور تھا وہی میری زبان سے نکلا میں نے کہا حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کاش کہ ہم مقام ابراہیم کو قبلہ بنا لیتےUmar said:'By Allah, in the Jahiliyya(pre-Islamic age of ignorance) we did not pay attention to women until Allah revealed concerning them that which He revealed, and assigned for them that which He has assigned!'.
حضرت عمر بیان کرتے ہیں کہ خدا کی قسم ہم زمانے جاہلیت میں عورتوں کو کسی شمار میں نہیں لاتے تھے۔ یہاں تک کہ اللہ تعالی نے ان کے حق میں نازل کیا جو کچھ کہ نازل کیا اور مقرر فرمایا جو کچھ کے مقرر فرمایا(ابن ماجہUmar said,"I am afraid that after a long time has passed, people may say,"We do not find the Verses of the Rajam(stoning to death) in the Holy Book," and consequently they may go astray by leaving an obligation that Allah has revealed!
