Examples of using Were given the knowledge in English and their translations into Urdu

And those who were given the knowledge said: Woe to you!
مر جن کو علم عطا ہوا تھا انہوں نے کہا افسوس تم پر!

And when it is said“Rise up,” then rise up; Allah will raise those who believe among you and those who were given the knowledge,(in) degrees.
اور جب کہا جائے کہ(مجلس سے) اٹھ جاؤ تو اٹھ جایا کرو۔ اللہ ان لوگوں کے جو تم میں سے اہل ایمان ہیں اور جن کو علم عطا ہوا ہے، مدارج بلند کرے گا۔‘

And those who were given the knowledge said: Woe to you!
اور جنہیں علم دیا گیا تھا وہ کہنے لگے: تم پر تباہی ہو!

And when you are told,“Arise”, arise so that Allah may raise those who have believed among you and those who were given the knowledge, by degrees.
اور جب کہا جائے کہ(مجلس سے) اٹھ جاؤ تو اٹھ جایا کرو۔ اللہ ان لوگوں کے جو تم میں سے اہل ایمان ہیں اور جن کو علم عطا ہوا ہے، مدارج بلند کرے گا۔‘

But said those who were given the knowledge,“Woe to you!
اور جنہیں علم دیا گیا تھا وہ کہنے لگے: تم پر تباہی ہو!

Those who were given the knowledge before it, when it is recited to them, they fall on their faces in prostration.".
جنہیں اس سے پہلے علم دیا گیا ہے ان کے پاس تو جب بھی اس کی تلاوت کی جاتی ہے تو وہ ٹھوڑیوں کے بل سجدہ میں گر پڑتے ہیں

Tell them,(O Prophet):"Whether you believe in it, or do not believe," but when it is recited to those who were given the knowledge before its revelation, they fall down upon their faces in prostration.
آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ تم ایمان لاؤ یا نہ لاؤ جن کو اس کے پہلے علم دے دیا گیا ہے ان پرتلاوت ہوتی ہے تو منہ کے بل سجدہ میں گر پڑتے ہیں

And those who were given the knowledge said: Woe to you! Allah's reward is better for him who believes and does good, and none is made to receive this except the patient.
اور بولے وہ جنہیں علم دیا گیا خرابی ہو تمہاری، اللہ کا ثواب بہتر ہے اس کے لیے جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کرے اور یہ انہیں کو ملتا ہے جو صبر والے ہیں

So, when she came, it was said,'Is thy throne like this?' She said,'It seems the same.''And we were given the knowledge before her, and we were in surrender.
پھر جب وه آگئی تو اس سے کہا(دریافت کیا) گیا کہ ایسا ہی تیرا(بھی) تخت ہے؟ اس نے جواب دیا کہ یہ گویا وہی ہے، ہمیں اس سے پہلے ہی علم دیا گیا تھا اور ہم مسلمان تھے

Say:'Believe in it, or believe not; those who were given the knowledge before it(that is before the Qur'an) when it is recited to them, fall down upon their faces….
کہو کہ تم اس پر ایمان لاؤ یا ایمان نہ لاؤ، وہ لوگ جن کو اس سے پہلے علم دیا گیا تھا، جب وہ ان کے سامنے پڑھا جاتا ہے تو وہ ٹھوڑیوں کے بل سجدہ میں گر پڑتے ہیں۔(107

Then on the Day of Resurrection He will degrade them, saying,'Where are My associates concerning which you made a breach together?' Those that were given the knowledge will say,'Degradation today and evil are on the unbelievers.
پھر وہ ان کو قیامت کے دن بھی ذلیل کرے گا اور کہے گا کہ میرے وہ شریک کہاں ہیں جن کے بارے میں تم جھگڑا کرتے تھے۔ جن لوگوں کو علم دیا گیا تھا وہ کہیں گے کہ آج کافروں کی رسوائی اور برائی ہے

Say:'Believe in it, or believe not; those who were given the knowledge before it when it is recited to them, fall down upon their faces prostrating.
کہہ دوتم اسے مانو یا نہ مانو بے شک وہ لوگ جنہیں اس سے پہلے علم دیا گیا ہے جب ان پر پڑھا جاتا ہے تو تھوڑیوں پر سجدہ میں گرتے ہیں

آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ تم ایمان لاؤ یا نہ لاؤ جن کو اس کے پہلے علم دے دیا گیا ہے ان پرتلاوت ہوتی ہے تو منہ کے بل سجدہ میں گر پڑتے ہیں

اے محمدؐ، اِن لوگوں سے کہہ دو کہ تم اسے مانو یا نہ مانو، جن لوگوں کو اس سے پہلے علم دیا گیا ہے انہیں جب یہ سنایا جاتا ہے تو وہ منہ کے بل سجدے میں گر جاتے ہیں

اور بولے وہ جنہیں علم دیا گیا خرابی ہو تمہاری، اللہ کا ثواب بہتر ہے اس کے لیے جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کرے اور یہ انہیں کو ملتا ہے جو صبر والے ہیں

کہہ دیجئیے! تم اس پر ایمان ﻻؤ یا نہ ﻻؤ جنہیں اس سے پہلے علم دیا گیا ہے ان کے پاس تو جب بھی اس کی تلاوت کی جاتی ہے تو وه ٹھوڑیوں کے بل سجده میں گر پڑتے ہیں

اور جن لوگوں کو علم دیا گیا تھا انہوں نے کہا وائے ہو تم پر! جو شخص ایمان لائے اور نیک عمل کرے اس کیلئے اللہ کا صلہ و ثواب اس سے بہتر ہے اور یہ(حکمت و منزلت) صرف صبر و ثبات کرنے والوں کو مرحمت کی جاتی ہے
