EASTERN EUROPE, CTHE AUCASUS AND CENTRAL ASIA 1 In the light of the discussion of the situation with environmental monitoring and information capacities in countries of Eastern Europe, Caucasus andCentral Asia and specific activities undertaken under the UNECE Working Group on Environmental Monitoring so far, it is recommended that the central public authorities that are responsible for environmental monitoring and information in these countries should implement the following measures.
The activities planned under the UNECE Working Group on Environmental Monitoring are highly relevant to the plans of UNEP/Chemicals and co-operation will be sought at all levels.
In the light of the discussion of the situation with environmental monitoring and information capacities in countries of Eastern Europe, Caucasus andCentral Asia(EECCA) and specific activities undertaken under the UNECE Working Group on Environmental Monitoring so far, it is recommended that the central public authorities that are responsible for environmental monitoring and information in these countries should implement the following measures.
We support the UNECE Working Group on Environmental Monitoring in its activities, particularly on strengthening environmental information and observation capacity in the twelve countries of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia.
