In accordance with the decisions by the first meeting of the Drafting Group and taking into account the additional comments received thereafter, as well as the relevant outcomes of the fourth meeting of the WGSO, a first draft of the Declaration will be prepared by the secretariat for the second meeting of the Drafting Group 2- 3 July 2007.
The Working Party took note of the progress made by SC.3/WP.3 in amending the annex to resolution No. 17, revised, with technical requirements for prevention of pollution from vessels(TRANS/SC.3/WP.3/42, paras. 13-15) andencouraged it to find a solution which would take into account additional comments received from the Government of Germany(TRANS/SC.3/WP.3/2001/3) and proposals which were expected to be received from Governments, the European Commission and river commissions on this matter.
In accordance with the decisions by the first meeting of the Drafting Group and taking into account the additional comments received thereafter, as well as the comments received from this meeting, a first draft of the Ministerial Declaration will be prepared by the secretariat for the second meeting of the Drafting Group 2- 3 July 2007.
