Mr. Tang Chengyuan also wanted to know the nationality of the 1,275 persons naturalized between 1975 and 2003 and of those whose applications for naturalization had been denied.
Mr. Tang Chengyuan asked what measures the State party had taken to put an end to the tribal and ethnic conflicts raging in Shaba, Ituri and the eastern part of the country.
Mr. Tang Chengyuan noted with satisfaction that the State devoted a great deal of attention to the Crimean Tatars, but asked what specific measures the authorities were adopting to assure their return and reintegration into society.
