Various terms are in use to refer to such water body:"unrelated confined groundwaters","confined groundwaters","confined transboundary groundwaters","internationally shared aquifer", and others.
In view of the importance of the question of unrelated confined groundwaters intercepted by national boundaries, however, her delegation would not object to any proposal aimed at treating that question as a separate topic to be included in the Commission's future programme of work.
