Second is that the UOC cannot“change[any]thing concerning the dogmas of faith and the sacred canons without the conciliar decision of the entire Orthodox Catholic fullness,” that is, the conciliar opinion of every Local Orthodox Church.
We regret this decision, which contradicts the sacred canons and traditions of the Church and is a grave mistake that harms both Orthodoxy in Ukraine and all-Orthodox unity.
They are not ethnophyletic, cultural, liturgical or anything else of the sort,and were defined by Ecumenical Synods through sacred canons and ecclesiastical regulations in accordance with Christian teaching against racial discrimination, with Orthodox ecclesiology and with canon law and pastoral requirements.
We regret this decision, which contradicts the sacred canons and traditions of the Church, and which is also a grave error that harms Orthodoxy in Ukraine as well as Pan-Orthodox unity.
Whoever is familiar with Canon Law and whoever studies the Sacred Canons is well aware of the position and responsibility of each Ecumenical Patriarch and Orthodox Church.
