I am grateful for the efforts that have been made in preparing this report, in particular by the rapporteur,Mr Peterle.
(SL) I would like to congratulate Mr Peterle on an excellent report.
Mr Peterle deals with all this very systematically in his report.
(DE) Madam President,I would also like to say that Mr Peterle has produced an excellent report.
Peterle is member of the EP's foreign affairs committee and the EP Group of Macedonia's Friends.(MIA, Kanal 5- 19/05/11).
(RO) I wish to begin by expressing my thanks to Mr Peterle for the effort he has put into this report.
On Thursday(May 19th), Peterle met in Skopje with Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Vasko Naumovski who thanked him for his support.
Ivanov impressed this stance upon high EU officials-- Richard Hewitt, Eduard Kukan,Lojze Peterle-- during their meeting late last month.
In any case, however, we must applaud the work of Mr Peterle in the hope that the EU will take more extensive measures in the fight against this disease.
Mr Peterle knows full well that, if the chapters in Croatia's accession process are to be unblocked, a bilateral solution must be found to the Slovenian-Croatian dispute.
After the official closure Binev introduced Irena Krasteva to Jerzy Buzek and Alojz Peterle and they discussed the need for mutual support and welfare in Europe.
Madam President, as Mr Peterle says in his excellent report, the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement is part of a greater strategy for increased regional stability in Central Asia.
Today, we voted on the motion for a resolution drafted by my Slovenian colleague Mr Peterle, of the Group of the European People's Party(Christian Democrats), on the fight against cancer.
Lead MEP Alojz Peterle, a Slovenian member of the EPP group, said:"[It] will deepen cooperation with Japan across key sectors, dealing with topics such as climate change, health research and cybercrime.
(IT) Mr President I would like to express my appreciation of the work carried out by the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and in particular the rapporteur,Mr Peterle.
I should like to commend the work done by the rapporteur,Mr Peterle, in drafting this report, and the compromise proposals tabled for the purposes of including the various amendments.
Alojz Peterle(EPP, Slovenia), who used to be Slovenia's prime minister just at the time of its separation from former Yugoslavia, stated that the European context has changed significantly since the time of the declarations of Zagreb in the year 2000 and Thessalonнki of 2003.
On behalf of the ALDE Group.- Mr President,first of all let me give my congratulations to Mr Peterle for his great work on this report, making sure that the fight against cancer remains a top priority on our public health agenda.
I would like to thank Mr Peterle for the report he has drawn up, and I would also like to thank Mrs Morvai, who has just delivered her speech, for having shared with us the aspect of hope, and the positive aspects; all is not lost when one contracts this disease.
Written declaration No 0068/2010, presented by Pavel Poc,Frieda Brepoels, Cristian Silviu Buşoi, Jo Leinen and Alojz Peterle, on fighting colorectal cancer in the European Union, has been signed by more than a majority of Parliament's component Members.
The recommendation by Alojz Peterle, on behalf of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, on the proposal for a Council and Commission decision on the conclusion of a Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and the Republic of Tajikistan, of the other part.
Mr President, I know everybody wants to vote, but I would just like, on behalf of all the co-signatories- Ms Brepoels, Mr Buşoi, Mr Lehne,Mr Peterle and myself- to thank all of you who have supported our written declaration on the fight against colorectal cancer.
The next item is the report by Mr Peterle, on behalf of the Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, on the Commission communication on'Action against Cancer: European Partnership'-.
In his draft resolution, the rapporteur has written that Croatia is set to accede on July 1st 2013, buthis Slovenian colleague Alojz Peterle(EPP) proposes an amendment which says that Croatia is set to join on July 1st, pending the successful completion of the ratification procedures.
Madam President, honourable Members, Commissioner,Mr Peterle, I am pleased to have the opportunity this afternoon to discuss the EU's links with Tajikistan and, in particular, the importance we place on laying a new foundation for our relations with the country by entering into a Partnership and Cooperation Agreement.
Member of the Commission.- Madam President, firstly I would like to thank Mr Peterle for his excellent report, and also the resolution, which gives a very good analysis of the situation in Tajikistan and makes recommendations which I can support.
I would like to congratulate the rapporteur, Alojz Peterle, on his highly factual and- I would like to stress- very balanced report on the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the European Communities and Tajikistan.
Mr President, Mr Dalli, this draft report, which was presented just now by Mr Peterle, restates very firmly the guidelines from the European Commission communication and is also inspired by the European Parliament resolution of 10 April 2008 on combating cancer in our European Union.
Mr President, Commissioner, ladies and gentlemen, I, too, wish to thank my co-authors and, in particular, Mr Liese,who spoke just now, and Mr Peterle, for this very satisfactory initiative on the donation of cord blood- a donation of life, then- which has enabled extraordinary and significant medical advances to be made over the last 20 years thanks to the transplantation of its plentiful supply of stem cells.
