He is called puruṣa.
Puruṣa means person.
But they do not know the puruṣa.
Puruṣa is neither produced nor does it produce.
And Kṛṣṇa has been described as puruṣa.
Similarly, Kṛṣṇa is puruṣa, and we are prakṛti.
His material life begun from this conception,that"I am puruṣa.
Rather, they are interested in puruṣa, the Supreme Person, Vāsudeva.
Similarly, we are, although part and parcel of Kṛṣṇa, but we are prakṛti, andKṛṣṇa is puruṣa.
That means exploiting,or to become puruṣa, enjoyer.
Not only ordinary puruṣa, but the Supreme Puruṣa, as Kṛṣṇa is described in the Bhagavad-gītā.
Prakṛti, prakṛti means nature, and puruṣa means the exploiter of the nature.
So prakṛti, nature, and we are, living entities, especially the human being,they are puruṣa.
This false conception of life,that"I am puruṣa," it can be vanquished completely.
So māyā is so strong that after being kicked so many lives, life after life,still he is thinking,"I am puruṣa.
Kṛṣṇa, the Lord, is described as puruṣa, and living entities are described as prakṛti.
In the material world, whether one has a male or a female body, everyone has the propensity to enjoy, andtherefore everyone is called puruṣa.
Living entities are sometimes called puruṣa because puruṣa means enjoyer.
Just like here we have got conception of male and female, similarly, originally, God and His energy, God is male and energy female,prakṛti and puruṣa.
So by falsely,when we think of becoming puruṣa, this is called māyā or viparyayaḥ.
When the puruṣa and prakṛti, male and female, enjoy, they enjoy, they get the same pleasure,but one is puruṣa; one is prakṛti.
So in his enjoying temperament he may be called puruṣa, illusory puruṣa.
Paramaṁ puruṣa, that Supreme Personality of Godhead in the spiritual kingdom, in the spiritual sky, one can approach, anucintayan, constantly thinking.
The prakṛti is the external energy of the Supreme Lord, and the puruṣa is the Supreme Lord Himself, and that is explained in Bhagavad-gītā.
And even after advancing so much by austerities, penances, following regulative principle, the māyā is so strong that still,he is under this impression that"I am puruṣa.".
One has to understand the position of prakṛti, nature, and puruṣa, the enjoyer of the nature, and īśvara, the knower who dominates or controls nature and the individual soul.
At the creation, the material energy is let loose as the mahat-tattva,into which the Lord as His first puruṣa incarnation, Mahā-viṣṇu, enters.
In the beginning of her prayers, Kuntīdevī said,namasye puruṣaṁ tvādyam īśvaraṁ prakṛteḥ param:“I offer my obeisances unto the person, puruṣa, who is prakṛteḥ param, beyond this material manifestation.” Thus in the beginning Kuntīdevī gave us the understanding that God is the supreme puruṣa, the Supreme Person.
The Māyāvādīs, although they have undergone penances, austerities- very strictly they follow the principles of spiritual life- but because they are under māyā, at the end they are thinking that"I am God,Purusa," the same disease, puruṣa.
