In that context, strongly requests that the Commission and the Member States address this issue;

Requests that the Commission carefully assesses all airline merger deals in accordance with the EU's merger control procedure, including their impact on market competition and the potential harm that they may cause to consumers, most notably through higher prices and restrictions to direct access of destinations;
