I would warn you most strongly against amendment No 47 by Mr Garcia, which is a protectionist amend ment, andnot least against amendment No 25 by Mrs Braun-Moser, which seeks to throw the door wide open to protectionist measures and which at worst could make the association agreements completely worthless.
Mrs Braun-Moser(PPE), rapporteur.-(DE) Mr President, and colleagues in principle what we are concerned with today is how to create a European transport policy that goes beyond the European Court of Justice judgment, which virtually imposes no more than the freedom to provide services in the transport sector.
McMILLAN-SCOTT(ED).- Mr President,I think it would have been more in line with protocol had I had the last word because I think Mrs Braun-Moser is one of the few people in this Chamber who thinks that the European Year of Tourism has been a success and who also feels that the Commission is without blame.
