In the Content Query Web Part, click the arrow, and then click Edit Web Part.

If you have the appropriate permission, you can target any item in a SharePoint list orlibrary to specific audiences by using the Content Query Web Part.
The Content Query Web Part can return content from an individual list or library, or from multiple lists and libraries across a site collection.
This is accomplished by using Web Parts, such as the Content Query Web Part, that uses audience-targeting data to filter the list contents based on the user's context.
To edit the Content Query Web Part, point to the Web Part, click the down arrow at the top right corner of the Web Part, and then click Edit Web Part.

The Content Query Web Part also allows you to show all of the items from a site and its subsites or to show items from all sites in a site collection.
The items that are displayed by the Content Query Web Part always reflect the most current set of items that are retrieved by the query that the page viewer is authorized to see.
When you add a Content Query Web Part to a page, you can configure it to query for all content items on a site that meet specific criteria.
