With regard to the submission by Brazil of a process-agent use after the Technology and Economic Assessment Panel had already concluded its report, the Co-Chair reported that the Panel would consider it at its next meeting, and present its findings at the next Open-ended Working Group meeting.
In paragraph 6 of decision XVII/6 the Parties to the Montreal Protocol agreed that the Technology and Economic Assessment Panel should review national nominations and make recommendations every other year on,among other things, process-agent uses of controlled substances that could be added to or removed from table A of decision X/14.
To adopt, as part of its continuing efforts to mitigate emissions from process-agent and feedstock uses, the table set out in the annex to the present decision as a revised list of process-agent applications to replace table A of decision X/14 as amended by decision XXII/8;
(i) Report of the Executive Committee on progressmade in reducing emissions of controlled substances from process-agent uses and on the implementation and development of emission reduction techniques and alternative processes not using ozone-depleting substances;
