Yesterday codeweavers announced a beta release of their Crossover Office product geared towards Apple Mac OS X users.

There are codeweavers wine a commercial version that drives most of the development- and is known for easier installs of software.
If it's something that is already in Codeweavers list of supported applications they will help you get it working so it may be worth going the paid support route.
Codeweavers product line(mostly crossover office in my use) makes it fairly easy to install a given application by having you choose which(supported) app to install, or to install an unsupported application.
There is a supported version of Wine from Codeweavers, where they list which versions of Windows applications they support running under linux and can assist in getting things working.
In fact, CodeWeavers is really responsible I think for the great strides wine is making as they fund much of the development at this point.
Most of the time, I tend towards using Codeweavers Crossover Office or Transgamings Cedaga(formerly WineX), but Franks Corner covers those commercial options, as well as the freely available ones.
