Moreover, the same article 110 of the Moroccan Maritime Code conflicts with article 2, paragraph 1, of the draft convention, which stipulates that a ship may be arrested only by or under the authority of a court of the Contracting State in whichthe arrest is made, while the Moroccan Maritime Code also permits such arrest on the basis of an enforceable instrument.
By a note verbale dated 16 March 2007, Slovenia transmitted to the Secretary-General the Act(PZ-C) Amending the Maritime Code of 2001(PZ)(see A/61/63/Add.1, para. 18), adopted by the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia on 26 April 2006 see Law of the Sea Bulletin No. 63.
Nevertheless, the implementing regulations of the Maritime Code of the Principality currently under preparation would establish measures to discourage unauthorized fishing on the high seas, in conformity with international law.
