وہ پاک ہے اور ان باتوں سے جو وہ کہتے رہتے ہیں بہت ہی بلند و برتر ہے،!

Do they utter from earth or from Heaven?
کیا یہ آسمان سے اترتا ہے یا زمین سے اگتا ہے؟?

Dreadful is the word they utter; they only speak a lie.
بڑی بات ہے جو ان کے منہ سے نکلتی ہے، وہ محض جھوٹ بکتے ہیں۔'

They utter with their mouths what is not in their hearts,…".
کہتے ہیں اپنے منہ سے،جو نہیں ان کے دل میں“

And undoubtedly they utter an evil word and a lie.
اور وہ بولتے ہیں ایک ناپسند بات اور جھوٹ

Grave indeed are the words that come out of their mouths, they utter nothing but lies.
بہت بڑی بات ہے جو ان کے منہ سے نکلتی ہے، نہیں بولتے یہ مگر بہتان‘‘

And they disbelieved in it before, and they utter conjectures with regard to the unseen from a distant place.
اور یہ پہلے انکار کرچکے ہیں اور ازغیب باتیں بہت دور تک چلاتے رہے ہیں

Repel thou the evil with that which is the best, We are the Best Knower of that which they utter.
اور آپ برائی کو اچھائی کے ذریعہ رفع کیجئے کہ ہم ان کی باتوں کو خوب جانتے ہیں

Therefore they uttered nothing when Our punishment came to them, except that they said,“Indeed we were the unjust.”.
تو ان کے منہ سے کچھ نہ نکلا جب ہمارا عذاب ان پر آیا مگر یہی بولے کہ ہم ظالم تھے

Had there been in between the twain gods except Allah surely the twain would have gone to ruin. Hallowed be Allah, the Lord of the Throne, from that which they utter!
اگر آسمان و زمین میں اللہ کے سوا اور خدا ہوتے تو ضرور وہ تباہ ہوجاتے تو پاکی ہے اللہ عرش کے مالک کو ان باتوں سے جو یہ بناتے ہیں!

Therefore they uttered nothing when Our punishment came to them, except that they said,“Indeed we were the unjust.”.
سو جس وقت ان پر ہمارا عذاب آیا اس وقت ان کے منھ سے بجز اس کے اور کوئی بات نہ نکلی کہ واقعی ہم ﻇالم تھے

اس بارے میں نہ وہ کچھ علم رکھتے ہیں نہ ان کے باپ دادا کتنا بڑا بول ہے کہ ان کے منہ سے نکلتا ہے، نِرا جھوٹ کہہ رہے ہیں

Proclaim(O dear Prophet Mohammed- peace and blessings be upon him),“If there were other Gods besides Him”- as they utter-“then they would have certainly found a way towards* the Owner of the Throne!”.(* To fight against Him.).
کہہ دو اگر اس کے ساتھ اور بھی معبود ہوتے جیسا وہ کہتے ہیں تب تو انہوں نے عرش والے تک کوئی راستہ نکال لیا ہوتا

فرما دیجئے: اگر اس کے ساتھ کچھ اور بھی معبود ہوتے جیسا کہ وہ(کفار و مشرکین) کہتے ہیں تو وہ(مل کر) مالکِ عرش تک پہنچنے(یعنی اس کے نظامِ اقتدار میں دخل اندازی کرنے) کا کوئی راستہ ضرور تلاش کرلیتے

No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. Mighty is the word that comes out of their mouths[i.e. He begot(took) sons and daughters]. They utter nothing but a lie.
ان کو اس بات کا کچھ بھی علم نہیں اور نہ ان کے باپ دادا ہی کو تھا۔(یہ) بڑی سخت بات ہے جو ان کے منہ سے نکلتی ہے(اور کچھ شک نہیں) کہ یہ جو کہتے ہیں محض جھوٹ ہے

And the Jews said,“Uzair is the son of Allah”, and the Christians said“The Messiah is the son of Allah”; they utter this from their own mouths; they speak like the former disbelievers; may Allah kill them; where are they reverting!
اور یہودی بولے عزیر اللہ کا بیٹا ہے اور نصرانی بولے مسیح اللہ کا بیٹا ہے، یہ باتیں وہ اپنے منہ سے بکتے ہیں اگلے کافرو ں کی سی بات بناتے ہیں، اللہ انہیں مارے، کہاں اوندھے جاتے ہیں!

They swear by Allah that they said nothing(evil), but indeed they uttered blasphemy, and they uttered it after accepting Islam: and they meditated a plot which they were unable to carry out: this revenge of theirs was(their) only return for the bounty with which Allah and His Messenger had enriched them!
یعنی منافقین اللہ کی قسمیں کھاتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے فلاں بات نہیں کہی۔ حالانکہ يقيناً انہوں نے کفر کے کلمات کہے اور اسلام لانے کے بعد کفر کیا اور ایسی سازش تیار کی جس میں وہ ناکام ہوئے اور یہ(سب کچھ) انہوں نے اس بات کا انتقام لیا ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ اور اس کے رسول ﷺ نے اللہ کے فضل سے(مال سے) انہیں غنی بنا دیا۔''!

As for those of you who repudiate their wives by zihar, they are not their mothers; their mothers are only those who bore them, and indeed they utter an outrage and a lie. Indeed Allah is all-excusing, all-forgiving.
جو لوگ تم میں سے اپنی عورتوں کو ماں کہہ دیتے ہیں وہ ان کی مائیں نہیں(ہوجاتیں)۔ ان کی مائیں تو وہی ہیں جن کے بطن سے وہ پیدا ہوئے۔ بےشک وہ نامعقول اور جھوٹی بات کہتے ہیں اور خدا بڑا معاف کرنے والا(اور) بخشنے والا ہے

But those who divorce their wives by Zihar, then wish to go back on the words they uttered,-(It is ordained that such a one) should free a slave before they touch each other: Thus are ye admonished to perform: and Allah is well-acquainted with(all) that ye do.
اور جو لوگ اپنی بیویوں سے ظہار کریں اور پھر اپنی کہی ہوئی بات سے رجوع کرنا چاہیں تو قبل اس کے کہ باہمی ازدواجی تعلق قائم کریں(شوہر کو) ایک غلام آزاد کرنا ہوگا۔ یہ بات ہے جس کی تمہیں نصیحت کی جاتی ہے اور تم جو کچھ کرتے ہو اللہ اس سے پوری طرح باخبر ہے

And that He might know the hypocrites, unto whom it was said: Come, fight in the way of Allah, or defend yourselves. They answered: If we knew aught of fighting we would follow you. On that day they were nearer disbelief than faith. They utter with their mouths a thing which is not in their hearts. Allah is Best Aware of what they hide.
اور منافقوں کو بھی معلوم کر لے جن سے کہا گیا کہ آؤ اللہ کی راه میں جہاد کرو، یا کافروں کو ہٹاو، ٴ تو وه کہنے لگے کہ اگر ہم لڑائی جانتے ہوتے تو ضرور ساتھ دیتے، وه اس دن بہ نسبت ایمان کے کفر سے بہت قریب تھے، اپنے منھ سے وه باتیں بناتے ہیں جو ان کے دلوں میں نہیں، اور اللہ تعالیٰ خوب جانتا ہے جسے وه چھپاتے ہیں

اور یہود کہتے ہیں کہ عزیر الله کا بیٹا ہے اور عیسائی کہتے ہیں مسیح الله کا بیٹا ہے یہ ان کی منہ کی باتیں ہیں وہ کافروں کی سی باتیں بنانے لگے ہیں جو ان سے پہلے گزرے ہیں الله انہیں ہلاک کرے یہ کدھر الٹے جا رہے ہیں!

اور منافقوں کو بھی معلوم کرلے اور(جب) ان سے کہا گیا کہ آؤ خدا کے رستے میں جنگ کرو یا(کافروں کے) حملوں کو روکو۔ تو کہنے لگے کہ اگر ہم کو لڑائی کی خبر ہوتی تو ہم ضرور تمہارے ساتھ رہتے یہ اس دن ایمان کی نسبت کفر سے زیادہ قریب تھے منہ سے وہ باتیں کہتے ہیں جو ان کے دل میں نہیں ہیں۔ اور جو کچھ یہ چھپاتے ہیں خدا ان سے خوب واقفہے

And the Jews said,“Uzair is the son of Allah”, and the Christians said“The Messiah is the son of Allah”; they utter this from their own mouths; they speak like the former disbelievers; may Allah kill them; where are they reverting!
اور یہود نے کہا: عزیر(علیہ السلام) اللہ کے بیٹے ہیں اور نصارٰی نے کہا: مسیح(علیہ السلام) اللہ کے بیٹے ہیں۔ یہ ان کا(لغو) قول ہے جو اپنے مونہہ سے نکالتے ہیں۔ یہ ان لوگوں کے قول سے مشابہت(اختیار) کرتے ہیں جو(ان سے) پہلے کفر کر چکے ہیں، اللہ انہیں ہلاک کرے یہ کہاں بہکے پھرتے ہیں،!

And in order to expose them who turned hypocrites; and it was said to them,“Come, fight in Allah's cause, or repel the enemy”; they answered,“If we knew how to fight, we would certainly have been with you”; and on that day they were nearer to open disbelief than to professed faith; they utter with their mouths what is not in their hearts; and Allah knows well what they hide.-.
اور منافقوں کو بھی معلوم کر لے جن سے کہا گیا کہ آؤ اللہ کی راه میں جہاد کرو، یا کافروں کو ہٹاو، ٴ تو وه کہنے لگے کہ اگر ہم لڑائی جانتے ہوتے تو ضرور ساتھ دیتے، وه اس دن بہ نسبت ایمان کے کفر سے بہت قریب تھے، اپنے منھ سے وه باتیں بناتے ہیں جو ان کے دلوں میں نہیں، اور اللہ تعالیٰ خوب جانتا ہے جسے وه چھپاتے ہیں

The ignorant ones who had stayed behind will now say to you,“Our wealth and our families prevented us from going by keeping us pre-occupied, therefore seek forgiveness for us”; they utter with their tongues what is not in their hearts; say,“So does anyone have any control over you against Allah, if He wills to harm you or provide you benefit? In fact Allah is Aware of what you do.”.
اب تم سے کہیں گے جو گنوار(اعرابی) پیچھے رہ گئے تھے کہ ہمیں ہمارے مال اور ہمارے گھر والوں نے مشغول رکھا اب حضور ہماری مغفرت چاہیں اپنی زبانوں سے وہ بات کہتے ہیں جو ان کے دلوں میں نہیں تم فرماؤ تو اللہ کے سامنے کسے تمہارا کچھ اختیار ہے اگر وہ تمہارا برا چاہے یا تمہاری بھلائی کا ارادہ فرمائے، بلکہ اللہ کو تمہارے کاموں کی خبر ہے

And those who are hypocrites. And when these hypocrites were asked:'Come and fight in the wayof Allah', or(at least)'defend yourselves', they answered:'If we but knew that there would be fighting, we would certainly have followed. They were nearer then to infidelity than to faith. They utter from their mouths what is not in their hearts. Allah knows well what they conceal.
اور منافقین کو بھی دیکھنا چاہتا تھا. ان منافقین سے کہا گیا کہ آؤ راسِ خدا میں جہاد کرو یا اپنے نفس سے دفاع کرو تو انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم کو معلوم ہوتا کہ واقعی جنگ ہوگی تو تمہارے ساتھ ضرور آتے… یہ ایمان کی نسبت کفر سے زیادہ قریب تر ہیں اور زبان سے وہ کہتے ہیں جو دل میں نہیں ہوتا اور اللہ ان کے پوشیدہ امور سے باخبر ہے
