On 10 November, he promised to open a humanitarian corridor for refugees and relief organizations.
The Security Council calls upon the Alliance of Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Congo/Zaire to declare publicly their acceptance of resolution 1097(1997) in all its provisions, in particular an immediate cessation of hostilities, and calls on all parties to implement its provisions without delay.
