The strategy for UNODC encompasses its counter-terrorism work in the specific result areas of terrorism prevention, ratification and implementation of conventions and protocols, and international cooperation in criminal justice matters, under the theme of the rule of law.
The thematic programme will be revised for the biennium 2012-2013, to continue the focus on the following issues: ratification and implementation of conventions and protocols; international cooperation in criminal justice matters; promoting functional criminal justice systems against terrorism in accordance with the rule of law; and promoting enhanced legal knowledge andexpertise of Member States in dealing with specialized thematic areas of terrorism prevention through capacity-building programmes.
To respond to the increasingly complex nature of terrorism, UNODC provided national criminal justice officials with specialized expertise in areas of terrorism prevention such as the use of the Internet for terrorist purposes, victims of terrorism, chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear terrorism, transport-related terrorism offences, financing of terrorism and international cooperation in criminal matters.
Technical assistance in the area of counter-terrorism is provided mainly by the Terrorism Prevention Branch.
We also urge States to become parties to the various international legal instruments in force in the area of prevention and control of international terrorism.
Thus, over the last year, AS PrivatBank has made significant improvements to meet the highest requirements of international anddomestic regulatory institutions in the area of prevention of money laundering and terrorism financing.

A: Mozambique does not yet have any bilateral agreements in the area of prevention and fight against terrorism. It does, however, recognise the need to do so, as a matter of urgency.
Much work remains to be done in the area of prevention of terrorism, especially in terms of incorporation of international provisions into domestic law.
