In the light of the discussion of the situation with environmental monitoring and information capacities in countries of Eastern Europe,Caucasus and Central Asia(EECCA) and specific activities undertaken under the UNECE Working Group on Environmental Monitoring so far, it is recommended that the central public authorities that are responsible for environmental monitoring and information in these countries should implement the following measures.
The training workshops"Gender mainstreaming in public policies" conducted for gender units within line ministries and other central public authorities, which empowered gender units with concrete tools and skills to assess sectoral policies from a gender perspective.(September and November 2012);
