This does not mean, of course,that a multilateral consultative process should aim for the lowest common denominator.
It was reiterated that the Consultative Process should address issues of piracy mainly from the perspective of cooperation and coordination and that the relevant organizations should deal with specifics, in the light of the duty of all States to combat piracy.
