Members of Kazakhstan's Parliament participated in the specialized IPU Conference on education, science, culture and communications in Paris, the Conference on partnership between men andwomen in politics in New Delhi, the forum of parliamentarians in New York, and the international seminar, entitled“Implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child in Central Asia and Kazakhstan”, which was organized jointly by the IPU and the United Nations Children's Fund UNICEF.

Partners, such as Global Parliamentarians on Habitat,held the Fourth Global Forum of Parliamentarians on Habitat in Berlin from 12 to14 May 2003 and adopted the Berlin Declaration calling on Governments to increase financial support for the objective of improving the lives of 100 million slum-dwellers by the year 2020, under goal 7, target 11, of the Millennium Development Goals.
Global Parliamentarians on Habitat, one of its partners, held the Fourth Global Forum of Parliamentarians on Habitat in Berlin in 2003 and adopted the Berlin Declaration, which called upon Governments to increase their financial support for the realization of the Millennium Development Goal of significantly improving the lives of 100 million slum-dwellers by the year 2020.
