Mr. Manongi(United Republic of Tanzania)welcomed the report of the Secretary-General on the implementation of Charter provisions related to assistance to third States affected by sanctions(A/52/308) and expressed support for the proposal that the Department of Economic and Social Affairs, in consultation with the Department of Political Affairs, should continue its efforts with a view to developing a possible methodology for assessing the economic consequences of the implementation of sanctions for third States.
