The Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, at its fifty-fourth session, in 2011, noted with appreciation that ICG continued to make significant progress towards the goals of encouraging compatibility and interoperability among global and regional space-based positioning, navigation and timing systems and promoting the use of GNSSand their integration into infrastructures, particularly in developing countries.
