Meetings with the Trilateral Coordination Forum.
Trilateral coordination meetings will be held with ITC and ECE;
During the reporting period, 9 meetings of the Committee on High-Level Coordination and 19 meetings of the Trilateral Coordination Forum were held.
In addition, 12 meetings of the Trilateral Coordination Forum and 6 operational-level meetings of the Forum were also held to coordinate security matters with the International Security Forces.

Noting with appreciation the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Timor-Leste, the United Nations andthe Government of Australia on 26 January 2007 that established a Trilateral Coordination Forum to enhance security activities.

In accordance with the terms of reference, meetings of the Committee on High-Level Coordination and the Trilateral Coordination Forum were held fortnightly, except when the President, the Prime Minister and the Special Representative were overseas.
Under this arrangement, the Trilateral Coordination Forum will serve as a mechanism for the Government, UNMIT and the international security forces to discuss issues relevant to the stabilization of the security environment in Timor-Leste, including security operations, and will ensure full coordination between the participants, through close consultation and will information-sharing.
On the morning of 11 February, the Government, UNMIT andthe international security forces met in an emergency Trilateral Coordination Forum meeting(see S/2007/50, para. 40; S/2007/513, para. 27; and S/2008/26, para. 10) convened by the Prime Minister to coordinate security measures.
The Council welcomes the continued efforts to foster dialogue and national reconciliation in TimorLeste through various mechanisms,in particular the expanded meetings of the Highlevel Coordination Committee, the Trilateral Coordination Forum and the continued good offices of the Special Representative.
High-level coordination mechanisms include the High-level Coordination Committee and the Trilateral Coordination Forum, which are valuable forums for collaboration and consensus-building between UNMIT and the Timorese authorities on key issues facing the country;
Urges all parties in Timor-Leste, in particular political leaders, to continue to work together and engage in political dialogue and consolidate peace, democracy, rule of law, sustainable social and economic development and national reconciliation in the country, and expresses its full support for the continued efforts of the SRSG aimed at addressing critical political and security-related issues facing the country through inclusive andcollaborative processes, including the High-Level Coordination Committee and the Trilateral Coordination Forum;
